With it that flat does she pull? I have about 1-1/4" of rake to keep her tracking straight.

I need an alignment before I can make a judgement. I ran it "flat" a few years ago and didn't like it. I have a lifetime alignment so I like to play around with it. Now that I look at my sheet, I am tempted to drop it more.

Cracked my radiator by idling the car for too long (unattended) and had that fixed ($1000). Make sure your thermostat is in working order or else you might get something a big heftier than fixing a thermostat.

Also threw on 285 Goodyear DuraTracs and got them balanced. When they attempted to align the front end they found that my tie rods are shot and need to be replaced (another $800) and my CV Boots need to be rebooted. On top of that my power steering circuit may also have some problems and will need to be flushed.

Not a bad week since I got the tires on, but sure as hell was it expensive! Will start a build thread soon-ish and post pictures of what I've done and update on what I'm doing.

Installed 275/70/18 BFG AT K/O.

Small steps.

Ran 1/4" fuel line to the front and rear differentials up to a common fuel filter in the engine bay. The OEM breathers were 100% corroded shut. If you haven't done this I'd check to see if your breathers aren't working.

I also swapped out the heater water pipes (tees). They were still in good shape after 153,000 miles.

I like that, something I need to do as well.

One of the vendors in Moab (cant remember who) had a complete kit, essentially the same thing you just did. It was a nice set up too.

Started wrapping my steering wheel with 550 cord. I have a lot to learn about wrapping. This will be a test run to see how I like it. Already feels better than the peeling leather that gave you the goosebumps and dried your hands out.

Installed the Packasport box. Goodbye sunroof.

It wasn't from idling too long, our cooling system is way oversized. Do I take it the t-stat caused it to overheat?

Nice job so far. I'm liking the look of the cord. Very curious to see how that turns out.

Thanks! I have probably 1,000 feet of it sitting in spools downstairs. I figured they wrap breaker bars, knifes, brooms, anything that sees a lot of direct hand contact and its fairly comfortable. I googled it and a few have done steering wheels. I finished the rest this morning and it feels great. I'm going to practice on a bunch of broom handles and re-wrap it with the spokes fully covered. I do love the color, it fits the 100 very well. It certainly isn't perfect, but this being my first time ever wrapping something, I think I did alright.

Looks great even for the first time. How do you secure it.

I looped it around the back and burned it together. It's holding pretty tight so far

Nice work. I may have to give that a shot on mine too. The steering wheel is starting to look like its ready to peel

Would it work if you just tied it behind as well to the cord? Does it have to be burned? I don't even care how it looks, if it will keep me from having a nappy steering wheel, then this is a good idea.

Installed a genuine Toyota/Milford cargo barrier in the Lexus.

Found my Warn winch control. Been missing since March. Found in rear cargo storage. Score.
