B8 5160's installed. I hate the person that designed the rear shock mounts. I'll update my build thread when I muster the strength to care 'bout it lol

Very interested in hearing about your review of these shocks!

Replaced the factory head unit and GROM BT module with a Boss HU and backup camera I bought almost 2 years ago. Also replaced the antenna mast that got broken in the carwash with a new one also purchased around the same time.

Installed a 2" lift and a full set of ASFIR aluminum skid plates. Got my Metal Tech sliders primed as well, hope to get them painted and installed next week. Gotta get some bigger tire now...kinda looks funny with the lift and stock tires.

Scribed and cut out a 2” square hole for the swing arm shank to pass through.

My work wasn’t terribly neat but that’s ok, I’m going to have to open it up a bit larger anyway so the new receiver can pass through.

The crossmember is reinforced and beefy, I’m not worried about weakening it.
Trial fit the new swing arm and old rack.

This is smashed all the way forward until the shank on the swing arm hit the forward side of the crossmember. Looks pretty good but I think I’ll cut another hole in that side so the shank can pass through it as well. I’m going to tighten up the fit to the body as much as reasonably possible, hopefully around 4-5”. The receiver will only be long enough for the pin/bolt/lock to pass through, about 3” total.
This rack is hugely improved over the previous version. I was hoping that all the kinks I had with 1.0 were resolved and it appears as if they have been. I’m very happy with it. The biggest improvement is rear ground clearance. I didn’t measure before but it was bad, really really bad. I drug everywhere. Now I’m looking at a healthy 20” back there, in N height.

Best part is that the rack is now functional, and fits in my tiny one car garage.

We’ll have to see if the Five-Oh has an issue with my license plate 🤫

Does anyone happen to have the part number for the 12x1.25 torx bolts that secure the receiver to 03-05 LX470’s?

Got some photos of your 100 with the lift?

So far so amazing! I really think for the money these are a great option. My wife has an X5 M60i with the adaptive, and I have the LCI M550i and I find the 100 to ride a little more compliant than the two BMW's, but they are sport trims and have very low profile tires. All in, would do it over again 10/10

Back in 2015, at 193k, I had the brake booster motor rebuilt and I rebuilt the master cylinder. Eight years later, at 248k, dying seagull screech occasionally now from master cylinder.
Replaced with new complete master cylinder unit 47050-60041 and flushed with Toyota brake fluid. Will take to shop tomorrow to get ABS side activated and bled.

This was last month but I have been really busy for the last 5 weeks. Scored some 860 springs in a killer trade, then added about 1.25" to the front so it wasn't so stink-bug. Rides a little stiff but I have no extra weight in the truck right now and the 3rd row seats are out. Hopefully at the end of summer or early fall I'll be able to get some 33's to fill in the fenders better and gain some axle to ground clearance. If anyone near Long Beach is considering these springs you are welcome to test drive my truck.

Pretty boring photo but I completed some maintenance. I finally did my first drain and fill for the transmission. I only drained 1500ml. That’s about half of what I shoulda got, so it was definitely a little bit low from the leaking transmission cooler hose assembly I replaced earlier.

I couldn’t seem to get it into diagnostic mode for the A/T Temp Mode. I just used the Scangauge transmission temp and waited til it got to 115F (it took 30 mins). Then I had to pump additional fluid because nothing was coming out of the overflow. All good now though!

The pump made things super super easy and made filling a breeze.

Also completed an oil change and greased the drive shafts. Engine and Transmission oil will be sent off to Blackstone later this week.
