About to attempt to fix my hood flutter. The auto body foam has a 10 second work time, so its gonna get sporty.
Replaced front brake pads, sway bar links, lubed chassis and detailed the interior.
While doing my brakes, I noticed there is up and down play on the DS steering rack bushing. The bushing looks fine? Can I just torque it down or is that bushing done?

Did you have the head NAV unit under the passenger seat?

How did you find this replacement? Trying to figure out one to replace it w/ but can't find or I just don't know how to select one. Thanks!

Finally did the TBs and adjusted. It looks offnin this picture, but it’s about 1” of rake. I’m happy.
Put the rubber things on before you put it on the truck. That was left out of instructions and I can’t get bottom nuts on
Also, install the lights before you put the bumper on and skip the bolt that goes in (drill) through the light hole. 6 is plenty
That rake looks crazier than Ikarus' and his he said is a 1-3/4" difference. That definitely looks way more than an inch.
Yeah I know. I measured it numerous times when adjusting the TBs. You should have seen it before, it was waaay worse. I’m going to drive it around for a week or so and remeasure and adjust as needed. There’s plenty of turns left where I indexed them so it won’t be too big of an issue.
The springs will settle some over the first couple of weeks. My 864’s sure did. Wait a couple weeks, then see where it settles in. Rake will be fine. Too much t-bar without a diff drop and you’ll get cv vibration.

After 20 years, my truck's white paint had become pretty dull.
Spent a few hours working on the exterior and did the following:
-Sanded small chips and gashes that developed a little rust with a fiberglass pen
-Painted spots with Dupli-Color Scratch Fix All in 1
-Applied Meguiar's Ultimate Compound to revitalize old paint
-Applied Nu Finish polish

Only problem with making your paint look good is that your trim and bumpers look terrible by comparison!

Haha. I'm not sure if it's the composition of the photo or what but that rake looks nuts. Like, 3" nuts.
Mines got major flutter on the highway, makes people think its open. Were you following a write up you found or just replacing weatherstripping?

I'm definitely in the same boat. After one week on the new rear springs, I'm down from 1.75" of rake to 1.5". If it stays there, I'm happy. If it eventually settles to 1.25", even better.
Thanks for the heads up. I already installed rubber covers. Will do the lights too. Seems the provided bracket works well for your control box. Mine is a warn VR, bracket does not fit that

Any radio made to fit the standard 200mm wide Toyota radio size should fit.
I bought mine last year. Actually bought two, one for my other car first then I liked it so much I bought another to put on my 80 but ended up putting it on the 100 instead. I really like the dual knobs on it. Make sure to get an Android radio that has at least 8 cores and 4GB of RAM.
