This looks great and is exactly what many of us have been hoping to see for a long time, thank you!

I do have a question/suggestion for a different arrangement: Would it be possible, strength-wise, to have a similar plate with a front-facing hitch receiver? I ask because having a winch on a portable tray that can be mounted to either the front or rear of the vehicle could be helpful should one find themselves head-first into a ditch with no buddies around.

This is more of an unsexy farm arrangement but seems potentially more practical for solo trekkers.

I'm always happy to make a custom mount. Basically it would be centered hitch and easy enough to make. PM me if you'r like to discuss further.

BIG update....replaced the 4 year old “pink” handles with shiny, new red ones. Less than a 1/24 banana job :)

New brake pads on all corners and also threw on a new set of Yokohama Geolandar G015 tires. First impressions of these are great! I have a 3,000mi Colorado road trip planned at the end of this month so I will get a chance to see how they perform on some of the San Juan trails.

Just got done removing factory sliders and roof rack. Should I fill the roof rack mounting holes with anything? Even using the bolts that were in there they appear to not provide a good barrier against water.

I’ve seen where others have put a little bead of silicone over the hole and then screwed the bolt in. That should provide a good barrier against water intrusion

Thanks, going to go to a diff rack, wasn’t sure what to do with the mounting holes. I didn’t know if they had a blank cover or anything as I assume the factory mounting points would not be used.

Powder coated the wheels Anthracite Grey Metallic and added some new KO2's. Waiting on bumpers from Ben at Dissent. Also waiting on Slee sliders, wheel spacers and 2.5 OME lift. Theb new bumpers and sliders will be powder coated the same Anthracite Grey Metallic. Warn winch and lights have also been ordered...just waiting on all of the parts to arrive so I can transform the shopping SUV into a Trailguy machine.

Finally got the trailer brake controller installed. 40-ish hours of design in the bracket, to be for sale soon. Super happy with how it turned out.

Took her to the campground for some camping and crabbing action. 100 degree weather, stop and go traffic, hours on the road, cooling system never have any issues, AC cold as ice. These trucks rock! I must apologize on my lady's behalf, i specifically told her that the crabs with the dark sponges must be thrown back, we are allowed to keep bright orange ones. Seems in that moment she forgot the rules and i found a dark sponge crab in my pot later. All of our crabs are big, legal size, borderline jumbos.

Performed probably the least exciting mod ever, but one that I've been wanting to do since I had the truck. Pulled the logos, plastidipped, centered Land Cruiser and ditched the others. Happy with it.

How did you take the logos off and re-attach?

I plastidip per my logos but after the chipping, etc I want to pull my logos and use real paint.

Thanks!
