What are your caster range/limits with Chaos UCA?
To be honest I'm not really sure. I'm still learning. I bought these though because my nitro ucas hadn't been greased where the cylinder goes through the bushings. So now it squeaks and creaks like no other. I have greased everything and have had them taken apart and greased and still hasn't fixed it. I'm to the point where I am done with them!

Looks good, what size are your bfg's?
275/70/18
They are great, no rubbing at all, no drop in performance or mileage (once I factor in the odo error). And that size spare fits in the stock location.

Replaced all my remaining door catches, hoping to avoid another episode of them pulling out of the door frame. Cleaned my window races and greased the window gears with shin etsu while I had the door panels off.

- My pre-winter work: change oil + filter, cabin filter, air filter, grease driveshaft.
- Crawl under the car to see if anything need attention. Tighten the bolts for valve cover since it is seeping some oil.
- Clean and vacuum the interior.
- Replaced hood struts - the hood is surprisingly very heavy without those struts.

We have a 1K miles trip coming up, and she is ready to go :)

  1. Got new StrongArm Hood struts installed. No more random bonks on the ole' cantaloupe.
  2. Got the LED's installed. Dad gum, they are bright, kind of shocking, but awesome.
  3. LED Reverse lights installed.

I need hood strut installation help, haha

I ordered the Lseat material for my fronts about.....4 months ago, and didnt' install them today. Needless to say I'm overjoyed.

If you can afford it, do the back as well.

Took advantage of a Labor Day sale and installed some new shoes. Yokohama Geolander G015 in P275/65/18. Definitely not as aggressive looking as the BFG, but they look like mud terrains compared to the bald Bridgestone Alenza that were on the vehicle when I bought it last year.

Awesome! I had the same box show up a few months ago! It was packed really well inside! I was impressed.

Nice! Anything tricky with the install, or pretty straightforward? I have an LX so I know about the grill/light tabs, but I can't remember if this one needs the frame horns trimmed, or not.

I replaced the alternator. I was having a loud whining noise from the engine bay that I couldn't pin down. Checked the charging and was barely getting 12.5 volts.

There are two different model numbers for alternators in the 2004 model year, pre and post June. Mine was built in March. Part number I had was 27060-50330. No one had that one available on Friday. So went with the later model, 27060-50360. The only difference is a shield on the back of the older model, which only seems designed to make it a complete pain to wiggle out from underneath the truck. New one went in super easy.

Phil- I saw your post that you got 4.5 degrees of caster on your LX with the SPC UCAs- I am running 275/70-18 and my tires rubbed the backside of the wheel well (plastic guard) with settings at 3.2 degrees. Curious about your set up as I would like to set my SPC's to give a bit more caster with out the tire moving closer to the back of the wheel well.

Tons of clearance everywhere but I did mod 'plastic guard' but after everything is said done not sure it was needed but it looks better.

In the end
Center hub to fender lip is 21.25" higher than I wanted (looks cool) and Im not sure if I will drop it down to my prior of 20.5". I will re-dial in my pressures and will have my wife decide if an adjustment in height is needed.
Alignment -
4.5° of caster (this is above factory spec) on both wheels with all other alignment numbers in specs. More caster is available but camber will fall out of spec with more caster. :( Max caster given my height/setup. Im 2WD and I have a heavy feel of the wheel much to my liking.

Had to reindex my torsion bars to get some more adjustments out of it. Now the front is sitting exactly 1" lower than the rear, which is what i wanted. It was 2.5" before, not sure how much stress i'm putting on the CV joints by raising it so much but we'll cross that bridge when we get there..

I have an 03 and the bar from my understanding was designed for 03-07. I was able to leave the frame horns on. It looks like you have a 2000? From others posts on here anyone who has installed it on a 98-02 model 100 , it seems they had to take the horns off. Don't know for sure but you might be in for some grinding!

Yeah, looks like I am- I need that extra half inch for the damn holes to line up! Other than that it looks pretty similar to the ARB we just installed on my brother's Tacoma, so it shouldn't be too bad.
