1. Fixed the wobble in the rear view mirror thanks to these and other threads:
- Rear view mirror screw.
- Rear view mirror wobble.
2. Installed some new Valleo windshield wipers (base Trico's work great, just trying something new).
3. Added Prestone AS259 all-season washer fluid.
4. Installed a mobile mic hanger clip on the front dash.
5. Installed a microphone hanging button on the Midland 75-822 (#3 & 4 thanks to @TheForger's DIY: CB Radio Install thread).
6. Purchased - and waiting to install - a UHF Female SO239 to UHF Male PL259 flange coax adapter to the center console (pending some Ham power and cabling questions).

Next up (order depending on inspection in March):
1. Replace front muffler.
2. New tires (Nitto/Toyo/BFGs ??).
3. New compressor on Maxima (it's only five years old, the LC's compressor is running strong 17 years later!).

Thanks for all the great write-ups!

Today we went to the fly fishing show in NJ, but on Thursday I was headed to the vet's office for some medication for my dog, when I saw smoke pouring off the roof of this gorgeous stone house on my road.

Drove up and went to see if anyone was inside. The woman refused to leave the house and the smoke was so thick I told her I wasn't going in after her.

My neighbor and a colleague showed up and dragged her out of the house. By then the fire house bells started sounding. My colleague moved my LC and his Tacoma onto the yard and then he went back to try to restrain the woman, who kept trying to run back into the house.

Then the fire trucks showed up, and we were trapped there for two hours while the house went up...

Resident of burning stone house confronted firefighters, became violent and was arrested, police say

Interesting day to say the least!

Depo headlights with Morimoto v7 projectors (actually last week).

Did you do a write-up on this? I'm going to do it soon, any pointer appreciated.

I didn't but can. There isn't a ton to it. The short version is: remove headlights, strip everything removable, heat up the headlights in the oven (7 min at 275 F), carefully separate the lens from the case, Dremel out the hole where the projector post goes, install the projectors per mfr instructions, new butyl tape, reheat (7 more min at 275), squeeze it together with pliers, let it cool, reinstall the removed bits, and reinstall. Oh yeah, clip or depin the blue/red wire under the dash to turn off the DRL function of the high beams. Install 9006 to dual 9006 splitter to drive both the bixenon highbeam shutter and the regular high beams.

New tires.

34" Toyo Open Country R/T tires (something between A/T and M/T)

285/75R18

Don't know anything about performance yet. Just had them mounted.

What lift are you running?

Ahc fluid change. 10 gradation change between L and H so that's good. Pressure 7.0 in front so is fine but rear pressure is a little high at 7.1 so looks like new springs from @beno . Then based on pressure results after springs may add some rear spacers if needed. I feel better that the system seems overall healthy on a 11 yr old vehicle. Plus finally got some PM done. Took a full 2 jugs of fluid to complete. Plus put on new oem windshield wipers. Good weekend.

Front passenger wheel bearings.

Did the driver side last weekend. Felt the vibration in the drivers side floor boards, heard the noise. 3 Lexus techs thought it was drivers side. Turns out it was the passenger side somehow reverberating through the CV and front diff to the drivers side. Crazy.

Built a simple trunk for the back 100. I like the full-blown drawers some of you guys have built. But, the reality is, for me, they'd be in the way more than they'd be useful. Still, I wanted some way to keep all the crap - cables, straps, recovery gear, compressor, tools, etc. - in place. As a bonus, it breaks up the huge cargo area floor - providing a smaller more manageable floor area (stuff like groceries, won't roll around).

The box slides in place, and comes out when we need the full cargo area, e.g. big family trips, etc. I'm going to utilize the 3rd row seat anchors to secure it in place - from the inside.

Two sections, two lids, carpet on top, latches to keep the lids closed
