My brake/repack bearing job has morphed into rebooting both CVs, then while I'm in there, I check the ball joints.
Ah heck, let's just put in some new lower control arms and rehab the uppers. It's about time at 260k. Looking forward to lowering it off the jack stands in a few days.
Ever seen a 100 series with 20" 200 series wheels?
I think these look pretty good on a 100 series
I might put some all terrain tires on these 20" to replace my 16" all terrains
But then I also need to add spacers to fit the center caps
So I am still not sure if I will replace them

Finally finished my emblem color change. Oem color grayish beige to match my bumpers and cladding. Lx wheel emblems and grill was already done. Also got rid of the little Toyota emblem and centered Land Cruiser. Included proper space to leave it two words. Got a hard time last time when it appeared as one.
I replaced the timing and serpentine belts, along with the water pump, all pulleys and idlers. Cleaned the throttle body, and since I was in that far, changed oil & filter. Did a drain and refill of the radiator and block - replaced the antifreeze with the OEM stuff (minus whatever is on the other side of the firewall - heater core, etc.)
While letting my LC warmup this morning I got a CEL (1120&1121). I just had my starter replaced along with new plugs, injector O-Rings and a TB cleaning. Looks like it's back to the dealer I go.
Yesterday I purged all the mobile 1 synthetic grease out of the spiders/slip joints and replaced with Amsoil multipurpose and Amsoil 5% Moly. It's amazing how quite the driveline is after the Moly grease application, no clunk at all anymore!
