A few weekends back i was in a video with my 80 series. It's a live-action trailer for the new Mad Max video game coming out soon. It's a bit gory,(CGI) but twisted fun in the post-apocalypse theme.

Dude, the 80 would totally kick those crap cars' butts. And it would be pro at killing people.

They're being prototyped :)

Not the weekend, not specifically 80, but felt like sharing anyway.. GF gave me an early anniversary present - she knows me well

@80seriesnut it's a coffee table book, which came with a series family tree poster. German author with forewords by Toyota chief Landcruiser designer as well as another Toyota engineer. Very comprehensive, except on the 200 series : )

Saw the Bruiser, and even checked out the "making of" looking for you. Are you out of focus, sitting in the chair in the background?
Nope, I'm the guy wearing a boonie hat with motocross goggles carrying a AK-47. Stop it at :42 to get a better look. In later scenes I'm next to the tent

Going to do this in a few. Just to be clear, I want to remove the front drive shaft THEN lock the CDL. Or do I lock the CDL BEFORE removing the front drive shaft?

I would lock it first in case it needs any movement to lock up (if you don't exercise it regularly). It would suck to take the drive shaft off, then lock the CDL, then not be able to go anywhere because the truck won't move and the CDL won't lock.

It is a turbo thing. Dumps the compressed air that gets trapped after the turbo but between the closed throttle body so that pressure isn't pushing on a spinning compressor causing compressor surge. They are responsible for making that whooshing sound when you hear turbo cars letting off the throttle or shifting. We call them Blow off valves in the US.

What's a dump valve?

I can see it now. Couldn't tell what the picture was and have never heard it called that. Thanks. I'll continue puttzing along in my 3FE... :)

Leveled out with front coil spacers, ahhh much better

Just got done putting a full exhaust in my 80. Those y pipes are a biotch to get in there. Also fixed the rear hatch latch, the rear hatch would not close all the way, and was keeping the lights on... adjusted the latch so the door would latch, and disconnected the wire to the sensor... no more dead battery for me :D

Next I'm replacing the absolutely terrible stock stereo, and figuring out the a/c issue.
