Went spur of the moment camping and fishing with my son for the weekend. It's nice to have a built in sleeping platform when you know it is going to rain. Got to the camp site after dark Friday night. Fired up the LED spots/floods and fished in the "dark". Then kicked back and watched Caddyshack on the flip down DVD player circa 2002 while we fell asleep. It rained over night but we stayed dry. Woke up at 5:30am and fished all day. On our way home we stopped at a river fed pond that we had seen many times. May have trespassed (a company's not individual's) to get to it but we didn't get caught and it was worth it.

A rug that used to be in my daughter's room but was designed for my 80 sleeping platform! Ha

In two days we caught 52 large mouth. None of them record makers but a ton of fun. And saved one bird that fell out of his nest.

For those out west that stuff in the background of some of the pics is water. In case you haven't seen it before.

Holy crap! That is going to be pretty damn bright. lol.

I'd like to be able to tell you that it is, but apparently my math is off, or I don't understand physics. 300w for the top bar + 180w for the lower is 480w. Divide by 12v, and you get 40a. I thought, cool... I have a 40A relay here, and they must build in a fudge factor of sorts, so I'll be fine.

Nope. Fried the relay in a matter of minutes. I had enough time to get out and start to aim the lower bar (with the upper pointed straight up) when I heard a sizzling and then the leds went out. Popped the hood and the relay smelled like ozone. Whoops. Guess I'll have to get a pair of relays and mre wiring tomorrow and wire them up with their own relays. :)

New fuel injectors, new frp, new valve cover gasket, new fuel filter, fixed an electrical problem and MADE it run!!! 1 year of no wheeling is depressing, I think its ready to roll finally!

Finally fitted the dashboard LED's for the electric engine cooling fan status, oil pressure, coolant loss, overheating warning. Looks pretty good but cracked the plastic cover when refitting, info and pics in my sig around page 13.

regards

Dave

Went camping for the weekend with the family and took the 80 on her first real trail. We camped at the end of the sourgrass trail in Stanislaus national forest. Barley touched the tip of the exhaust coming out. Hopefully i can get back there in a couple weeks for the fj45 run. Also ran the slick rock trail in my brothers rig @JohnnyOshow22 .

I love the monstaliner!!!

I learned some things about my 80 this weekend at Durhamtown Tellico
1 it runs too warm on the trails time for some silicone oil in fan clutch.
2 my charcoal canister it's shot.It leaked gas out on the ground came out fuel cap with excessive pressure.
3 my brother who owns a fj cruiser learned not to count my 18 year old wagon as he calls it out for it went places his rear locked only with atrac had a very hard time going over and I never locked both diffs just my rear one.
I guess 18 year old technology can still keep up with the newer stuff after all.It was a great weekend with my brothers and cousin over at the park.now seeing my sights on its faults to fix and throw some more benjis at it

^^^Looks like an awesome place to swim! No camping here this time of year w/out an RV. It's still 92* @ 2am!

Weather was perfect. Low 90's in the day. 50's at night. Plus got out the smoke. Lots of fires burning around the state. In town the air is just yuck. Nice to see the sun and blue skies.

I completely interpreted this wrong...when you said "got out the smoke"... :smokin:
