I'm fairly certain it's the stupid harness at the EGR.
 
Did my rear bake pads, prepped for a little camping trip next weekend. Finished buttoning up the dual battery setup... Was going to be this weekend (solstice and all) but the daughter has a house sitting gig and next is more convenient for everyone.

In an effort to brighten up this thread... I used my 80 to drive my son to his high school baseball games this morning, stopped and fished for a little while on the way home and caught some nice bass. Then washed her up because I got a phone call and...wait for it...I GOT A JOB MOFO'S! So I will be driving my 80 to my "Offer Meeting" tomorrow! WOOHOO! Let the hunt for 80 #3 begin!!!

Today I finally finished the replacement of HG, starter, alternator, p/s pump and gear box, all TRE's, engine wire harness, many hoses, trans temp gauge, and trans service. She runs smoother than ever! I also installed a new OEM oil pressure sender and now the gauge is all over the place. Think I will go back to the old leaky sender and see what happens. Maybe it's time for an after market pressure gauge. Another note is that, I bought an infrared thermometer and it seems that the OEM water temp gauge reads the same from about 150 up to max temp I saw in various places on the engine and cooling system with the infrared thermometer.
