You used to have one of my top five Land Cruisers. Today feels like the day I found out Santa isn't real.
Santa is real, and my truck is still a Cruiser which makes it real and makes it awesome! :)

I fall under the "I love it" group, that's looks nice!

I for one think it looks great! After all the Mustang is the best accomplishment from Ford. What year stang is it from?

Thanks. I knew it would be a polarizing mod. No biggie. Its just a temp fix to the peeling clearcoat on the hood truthfully. Eventually when the truck gets repainted the scoop will probably go away.

Wasn't able to hit the trails but used her to haul some equipment to a new restaurant opening up.

Went wheelin', enjoyed some Death Valley solitude.

Been away for a few weeks, busy like everyone else. Haven't done much to the truck since GSMTR, but here's a bit about that.

Had a great time. The first two days were fun cruising the green and blue trails with a big group. The last Saturday we were there, my friend Steve and I decided to go run some of the black trails. Things were going well for a few hours, then my power steering pump exploded and when the steering wheel spun out of my hand my front passenger tire rolled off the bead and bent the edge of my rim.

This resulted in Steve towing me 6ish miles back to the cabin with his 40. Once we got there we found a Napa in Knoxille about an hour away with a reman pump. So, Onur graciously offered to drive me there in his new 70. What a fun truck. I can never thank him enough.

We got back to the cabin and got the new pump installed, only to realize the o ring was torn and leaking on the low pressure line. I was irritated at that point, so we quit messing with it.

I drove it home that Sunday (200 miles or so), stopping pretty often to top off the steering fluid. Lance from Ironpig and Marshall from Tollholes assured me this was a good idea:hillbilly:.

I then got the proper oring and have been happily cruising this past week...some pics:

Then, I need to relax, so I went fly fishing for a while.

Oh, also smashed my ARB in pretty good.

Just tightened my fan belts and noticed I need new ones...went ahead and tightened them anyway until I can go buy some. Noticed my alternator is making a knocking sound..bad bearing? and then took out the adjuster for the compressor because it had a broken bolt...fixed that right up too. What is the purpose of the pulley next to the alternator ? Seems like the belts barely touch that to make it effective at anything.

Knocking sound may be the belts themselves, mine did that when they had some chunks missing.

@Teddy -- built 80 getting towed by a 40 uphill? That must have been a crawl :)

Good to see cruiserheads taking care of their own!

Big Bear, CA. Gold Mtn trail with my son with the '80 and his 4runner. Awesome day, minimal damage.

I know it isn't tech, but it's the way I feel (lovingly) about my 80 after last Sunday's ride.
