Leaning against my 80 waiting for paint to dry...

Not gonna lie, I poured a little beer on the curb thinking of painting over this...I'm guessing original markings from when my 3FE was built in the factory. It's on the backside of the cover by the firewall.

You know the saying....... "Take a pic, it will last longer."

Finished up some details on the front end. Oddly enough, it now has an FJ Cruiser-esque feel to it. I wasn't intentionally aiming at that; I was just trying to fix a really ugly front end.

This vehicle has had a left front end hit and they didn't replace anything They just tried to get everything to work and glue together, so all of the fixtures are cobbled. Both side markers literally flapped in the breeze until I dreamed up this fix using some 1/4" fuel line. ToolsRUs had the left side fixed pretty good, but it was a bear to remove and remount.

love the color

Brought home new born girl from the hospital yesterday. The cruiser has been around to bring all 3 kids home when born. The oldest is 11.

I bought the truck in 2002 when it was 5 years old. Brought home my son in 2003 then my 1st daughter in 2011.

Memories!

congratulations

Thats awesome! My old Bronco hauled all three of my kids wheeling when they were 6 months old. They are old enough to love the LC though, and are helping me mess with it. Some people say cars are cars, but all mine have meant something....way more than some new look alike car would...

Looks like a junkyard marking actually :flipoff2:

Ha. 3FEs don't make it to the junkyard. You know, because we don't blow head gaskets and such. MUAHAHAHA

It's not Toyota Racing Red but it will have to do.

So is it Tomato or Tomatoe Red? :flipoff2:

Looks good :)

Ha. It's "VHT Bright Red". Also known as "VHT the only High Temp Red that Vatozone carries". I felt like I was buying a Model T...

Drove my daughters to camp. 400 km highway and 60 km forest service road two times this week. 15.3 mpg. Drove slow because I had 6 kids.

3 weeks now on the 285 BFG KO2s. Loving them. Have gotten me through mud, snow and highway.

Copy cat :p did mine back at the being of the year

Well, I didn't want to be a copy cat so I painted mine black...

Actually, I went out to give it another coat of VHT Bright Red and didn't like the look of it. It seemed pink. And since I have an 80 and not an LX I didn't think it looked right. :flipoff2: But seriously, I think I got a bad batch of paint. It was really flat looking and not the right color. Even after two coats. It didn't look as red as yours. I had some black left from painting my air canister so I sprayed it black. Plus I may have a little trick up my sleeve...

Wife and I went to Sedona, AZ--she drove Broken Arrow, Kudos to her--she had a great time.

The first video is of her coming down the Devils Staircase:

Went riding with family and friends. The wife actually came along this time, and rode with me in El Guapo. Son, girlfriend, and girlfriend's sister rode in my son's Cherokee. Son's friend and his friend in his JKU.

After spotting me through one tricky area, my son said "Why don't you let me lead, and just follow my line?" And I said "That's a good idea, because anywhere your Cherokee can go with your 4 & 1/2" lift and 33" KM2, I can go with my stock Land Cruiser on 285/75R16 Nitto Terra Grapplers." ;)

That's become one of my favorite places.
