Finally was able to grab the 65 out of storage.... great day for a drive along the Mississippi.

Drove the 80 to a campground along the Nolichuckey River with the family, some great times with the family of the kido's best friend, and a raft trip down the lower portion of the river with the kids in tow.

Brake booster pooped the bed on the way, makes for an interesting time stopping the 6,000 pounds...

Install a new AC belt; the last one shredded around Astoria, OR one the way back from our last camping trip. It usually is cool enough here in Washington to run with the windows down, but we have a heat wave here at the moment 90+ degrees in the PNW is hot. Also prepping for our trip to Palouse Falls next week.

Yesterday, a friend of mine put the long OME springs in the front and new shocks....also upgraded tires to 315-75-16, and put on factory powder coated wheels. Before and after pictures:

Replaced oil pressure sender, destroyed corroded oil pressure wire run in process. Stared at copious amount of oil coating underbelly of Cruiser. Xported bikes and scooters (and progeny) to the park.

Thank you for the welcome and good looking out. I plan on replacing the head unit with a Scion unit or something aftermarket and bypassing the amp altogether. It is my understanding that this will cut off the signal to the dash tweeters and 3rd row speakers, is this correct?

Depending on the head unit I go with, I may have to go with speaker level inputs. Can I draw the from the existing wiring to the 3rd row speakers with a bit of splicing behind the dash?

I need to do a bit more research on the Scion head units. Some that I have seen have line level outs on the back presumably for a sub and others have 3 pairs of RCAs.

You shouldn't loose any speakers when switching over the head unit (using the two grey plugs behind the dash). The dash speakers are wired parallel with the front doors, the roof speakers are parallel with the rear doors AND the sub's high-level input (which should become full-range with a new HU).

We'll be poking around the NE corner of Georgia near TN/SC border this Friday!

Bad seals...yikes
Yeah terribly old seals. To think it went through 2 really dirty city floods and 2 trail river crossings before I remembered to change 'em. Thank god nothing bad has happened yet.

Been there...make sure its your booster and not just check valve/grommet. Could just be loosing all your vacuum assist from a bad valve/grommet. Hopefully!

I installed a hood blackout. I did not go so well IMO. I will likely do another one, now that I know a little bit more about what I am doing. My Zen was off Fri...

I really want one in grey or silver, but I am not having luck getting one made. Please let me know if you have a contact on this that is likely up for a custom blackout.

It actually does stop some glare. Who would have known??? I did it because the hood clear coat is gone.
