Finally listing the world famous 1997 Toyota Land Cruiser. These vehicles are manufactured 100% in Japan. They were rigorously tested at 100mph across the great continent of Australia before release. The UN used them as their standard issue policing vehicle. If you have owned one of these before, you know what great vehicles these are. The full-time four wheel drive (4wd) locks you safely to any terrain. The military based viscous ball steering and towing package will never fail. Solid, stock Dana 60 straight axles (also on F350 Super Duty), not those flimsy IFS FJ cruiser trash. Most vehicles are built with parts that are designed to wear out over time....not the Toyota Land Cruiser. They have been called the most reliable vehicle on the planet. If you're not familiar please do your research! (Ill be glad to help) There are countless numbers of people that have gotten 500k+ miles before engine rebuild was recommended, but not required. There is one listed on here (red) with 301K miles! They last forever!! The transmission is also used in Coastal cab over 26000lb deliver trucks overseas. These vehicles are comfortable tanks that manage to get 20 miles per gallon on the highway!
These retailed for $52,000 in 1997. I have the original window sticker and info to prove it.
I was not aware the 80 Series transmission could tow 26,000lbs, nor had F350 Super Duty Axles, does it have the 7.3L engine too?

they did use the transmissions in pasenger buses, dana 60s ,i have heard other people compare the axles to 60's ,but would say more like 44's and 9",perfect example of someone who probubly read it on net and repeted it as fact. 20 mpg is going down hill with tail wind.
Based on dia. of axle shaft, yes. And 44's are not full floaters......

Funny... not a very good scam artist, as he quotes the blue book and shows the screen shot with the values reflecting 100,000 miles less than his truck has. But, it does look to be in good shape for 300K. Still too pricey.

So it's the weekend already for me. Army gave me a 4-day. So with that...
Got my 285/75/16s off Craigslist and onto the rig.
Also got my telescoping aluminum ladder which I'll store in the vehicle somewhere. (Maybe in my ghetto storage). This solves the issue I have when items are on the front of the roof rack with only super awkward and uncomfortable ways to access them.
Oh and got my 'MUD swag on the back.
Got my 285/75/16s off Craigslist and onto the rig.

The front axle is comparable to a HP44, probably a little weaker actually.
Got a jump on the weekend's snow travel in Northern Wisconsin's non snow plowed roads by installing some new tires. Let's see how they work.
285/75/16. They give me an almost 2" lift which is nice. So far they ride good on the paved roads with minimal noise.

This weekend will see me swapping my rear springs side to side to fix lean, and installing new Nitro Chargers in the rear. Hoping to begin work on new rear cargo tire carrier...

Look up j-moose rack (aluminum 4wheeler ramp) And they kinda look like gamvitti towers. I used to run that set up.

Went to get a smog check. Passed the emissions test with flying colors, but failed on the fuel cap not holding enough pressure and EGR valve not functioning. I replaced the parts and got the free smog retest and passed. Had to go through the entire test again even though it passed the emissions test the first time around.

Rock solid rack
Well I used to. Solved that problem with the ladder.
I got such a good deal on this I didn't even notice that until I got it home! haha
I was thinking to convert it but since it does not have the rear seats then maybe there is no need for it. Would be nice if I was doing some car camping though. I have seen the sliding windows pretty cheap.
