I'll bet there's a chance it's been like that for a while. It might be worth talking to them about it, but there's no way to prove when it happened.
If you don't trust anything they do, why do you even let them work on your Cruiser in the first place?

I'd replace it. Not a hard job.
The opposite of birf soup. My guess is that knuckle jobs on this axle have been rare if at all. Moly grease appears to have been added at regular intervals but the super old grease had morphed into a play dough like substance. On the plus side it was easy to clean 
I thought I had them trained.
. It’s a PITA to rotate all five tires in the driveway, and I “paid”’for the service when they installed the tires. So yeah. I’m a sucker. I had to put all my body weight on that one to get it to break free. Oh well.
Seal is def blown, at least they got that right. lol. I’m surprised I didn’t notice. No noises. No smells. Heading to Mojave next week so, all in all perfect timing.
Than why did they do it in the first place.....
Finally de-smoged my '91. For being so simple, the 3fe is such a PIA to work on.
I agreed to let a new Dry Ice Blasting company use my rig for the grand opening. They blasted the under carriage and then did a 10-year ceramic coating to help keep it clean. Please consider Rafael @ Articblast DFW if you want to blast away 30 years of grime and leave it looking dealership new
Progress. 2 rolls of paper towels, 3 cans of brake clean. And a superfund site application for my driveway. Just waiting for seals.

Drove to Overland Expo East in Virginia. The event was smaller than it has been in the past and we will definitely be skipping next year unless something changes drastically. I still had fun camping with friends and making awesome dinners at night.
