Is there a thread that goes into any detail on this? Electric gets rid of so many issues.
no but i can create one with pics of installed unit.

essentially, thou, you get a donner entire steering column, a yaris 2007 will do.

1: remove your existing column
2: remove/grind off the existing bracket that mounts the OEM column to dash. Alternatively, you can make a bracket, but I wanted a stock look.
3: line up new column and mark bracket spot to weld. I had to grind the bracket slightly for the motor to fit.
4: weld bracket and bolt up. reuse whatever adapters that didn't come with doner column as it is all the same.
5: ecu wise, you need a 60amp fused constant positive connection, a ground and on the yaris ecu, pin 5 and pin 6 (abs and ignition) needs to both see 12volt ignition to energise the motor. this allows with engine off to have 100% motor assist.
6: i bought a unit that plugs into the ecu that controls the motor assist based on gps speed. that way the faster i go, the less assist will be given as it supposed to be. because we have no canbus, the motor will give 100% assist at any speed. this is bad as at speed you want less assist.

I'll do a write with pics later when i get them from mech
ill post the link to gps device ect in thread and post link to it here

Working on quite a few things here, but at the moment I’m replacing several crumbling and suspect connectors. One of which it the idle air control connector. I cut it off and then was going to match up the wire colors to the positions on the new connector. It seems like I shot myself in the foot as two of the six wires are marked identically (yellow with red stripe) and I didn’t mark which was which. I wonder if I can assume that since they are marked the same that they may be electrically the same somewhere back in the harness? I need to dig up the FSM and attempt to read the wiring diagram. Unless someone has it super handy and can also read it well and tell me if accidentally refreshing these identical looking wires is going to cause me a problem once I have everything taped up and out back together?

Brought my parents up past treeline for a picnic

Then ran a different trail with a buddy who recently joined the Lexus family

I noticed some signs of precious Toyota Red Koolaid dried up in the general water pump area 😤

(It was more prominent prior to running a few water crossings)

Also figured out why one of my horns wasn't sounding

That would be awesome. I'm working on a new build and would love to try this out. Thank you!

Weekend after weekend at the dunes still going strong, this thing is a blast.

1FZ-FE is king.

Camshaft Specs

LSA:
110

Advertised Duration: Intake 330 / Exhaust 334

Lift: .517" Intake & Exhaust

Manifold Pressure at 1100 RPM Idle: 98 KPA (Meaning ZERO vaccum).

Something tells me you're not hard up for cash but you'd make a killing selling hotroded FZ swap kits ready to install shipped to our mailbox on a pallet.

Installed a Custom Splice offset fairlead. It fit my budget and seem very Heavy-duty.

The last few weekends we have been exploring some national forests and dispersed camping with some rental trailers to see what we might be interested in buying. And my coworker that bought a 100 series wanted to do a trip through some passes that unfortunately were in the clouds by the time we got to the top so the views we were expecting were not available. There is always next time.
