GSMTR 34 with my kids. Great to see all of the exceptional 80 series trucks out there. Great to meet Sam from Atlanta in his LX450 and Crab Cake from Maryland! Nice meeting you Eric!

My 14 yo son got to do some driving on our way to Brushy Mountain State Prison via the WindRock trail system. He is going to be a pro! We made it in one piece…..trail 42 was tough. No body damage but maybe some mental damage on my part. Some big drops and plenty of mud.

I replaced my D light for the 2nd time, my N light for the first time, replaced my floppy HVAC registers, all my HVAC buttons, my wobbly cig adapter socket holder, and I got the dead spider out from next to the odometer:

I bought one of these Toyota tablet holders a while back and have been very impressed. They’re much more sturdy and secure than the others I’ve bought from Amazon over the years.

Part #:

PT949-47160-02

I bought mine used and it was missing the headrest post spacers so I grabbed some from McMaster Carr.

This also works in my wife’s Nissan rogue without the spacers.

The only issue is my kid struggles to put the iPad in because the clamping springs are so strong.

GSMTR weekend.
Met some cool folks and ran some blues on Thursday. I was an honorary 100 for the day. I came away quite impressed with what a mostly stock 100 can do with lockers (and even atrac) and a good 33 (@LJE 's driving helped). Realistic it's all id ever need for my purposes, but of course I still want 37s 😂

Friday I baled on the group and took the 2yo on his first wheeling adventure - couldn't have gone better- we had a picnic at overlook and he had a blast.

Saturday momma headed home with the kiddos and I joined up with another group to run 22 for a run now referred to as the traffic jamb.

Slow day on the trail without too much action. I was a bit bummed headed down the mountain back to camp when @TampaCruisers chimed in on the radio he was stopping by his cabin to grab some meat, we were welcome to join him.

Turns out Manny not only has the nicest 80 I've ever seen in real life (and he actually wheels it), he's an amazing grill master and super generous dude- he stood att he grill for like 3 hours treating us with Venezuelian delicacies - pork belly, amazing steak cuts, blood sausage, things made of cheese - it blew our minds and definitely made up for a slow day of wheeling. If you're in the Tampa area, hook up with this dude for your cruiser needs.

But Thurs/Fri rides were a bit more fruitful on the trail speed.

Hitting trail 35 as a torrential downpour slammed us was interesting 😄

Looking forward to next year already!

Overdue maintenance. Lube, dumped 2 cartridges of moly in the knuckles, oil change…

Then I tried to get lost. I crossed the Rubicon twice. At least.
