Installed a new auxilary tank fuel gauge (0-80 Ohm) to work with the LRA tank sender unit....

It replaces the LRA auxiliary fuel gauge display which I thought was wonky, but it looks like it may be the tank sending unit itself that is wonky.

Second Picture, the spindle looks like the bearing spun on it. looks like it should have been replaced ?
I think you’re right. I looked closer and am convincing myself it’s more burn marks than scratches. The old grease was black, so either water or dirt or both got in. I was able to get good preload with new races and bearings so maybe I’ll go back in and check at next oil change.

Replaced the quarter windows, all new parts except for the aluminum frame and the glass, to fix water leaks and wind noise. The hardest part was getting the new weather stripping over the old aluminum frame, but it turned out to be a fun project. I was worried the installation would be difficult but it only took me and a helper about 30 minutes per side. (the other parts on the table are for unrelated caliper replacements)

There should be no discernible lip when dragging your finger nail over the area.
There’s definitely spin marks on the spindle.

Just messing around.
Looks like this didn't make a difference to the IAT.....im sure a dorkel will see a slight difference though.

What about replacing the factory intake tube with an aluminum one, some silicone couplers and wrap the aluminum intake tube?

These are the Holley retro bright 4x6 sealed units. They have 5600k bulbs in all 4, the inner lights have a yellow lens.
I am using the plug and play harness from @jcardona1 to run all 4 lights on low beams which you see in the pictures. All 4 lights run low and high.
Your lights look awesome. From the Holley website, they don't list anything for the 80 series. Did they previously have a product specifically for the 80s?

Thanks. They are just the regular 4x6 retro brights. Non specific to the truck, it’s the size that fits the quad brackets. The harness I got converts the headlights to the H4 plug.

beautiful truck!! May I ask where you sourced your quad headlamps? Where you able to use the grill style for single headlamps with them?
Thanks again! I got the complete set up from a local 80 series guy I met on Instagram. Sourced the harness through @jcardona1 and got the headlight covers from another guy on Instagram. I just replaced the stock 4x6 lights with the holleys.

Someone hit/run my truck the other night and I need a replacement side lamp assembly.

I forget who some of the vendors are who might have the parts.

(all the other dents are mine )

I have a pair available, but they are clear, not amber. I bought them a while back to replace mine, but I didn't realize I had bought the ones for dual headlamp setup, whereas my rig is quad. I paid $80. Yours for $70 shipped, PM if you're interested. They only left the box long enough for me to realize my error.

My LandCruiserPhil sway bar end link ball joints are completely shot. I tried injecting grease into the ball but no luck. One is seized and requires a tremendous amount of force to move. Replacements arrive today.

I replaced my front sway bar bushings two weeks ago. Apparently I didn't tighten the bolts down for my sway bar drop brackets and lost one of the brackets. Since the front sway bar wasn't doing much, I removed the whole sway bar and took the Cruiser for a spin. Body roll and driving dynamics are not as bad as I thought, but once I have weight in the vehicle and a family of four, I could see this being a handful on twisty roads. I will make new drop brackets and reinstall the sway bar.

New Diode Dynamics fog lights are on the way to replace my Amazon lightbar.

I actually look my photo and put it in Photoshop to determine fog light placement.

Which SIG LPVO are you using. Looks like the 1-8. How do you like it.

It's the tango 1-6..... honestly the glass isn't the best and it's heavy. But I was on a budget and sportsmens had it new on sale for $220 and it came with a mount. So it will work for now. I can ring a steel torso at 400 yards so it gets the job done.

The sig is on a ruger sfar. I am really liking the ruger, it's a a pretty darn light weight rifle, especially for a factory .308 gas gun and it kicks like a puppy. I will definitely upgrade to a lighter scope one day.

I haven't been posting much and just using the cruiser for shooting duties and an occasional grocery run.

Yesterday I found time to do an oil change and I got cleaned earlier in the week but no photos. It's nice to be doing oil changes every 6 months instead of every 4 thousand miles. I am definitely putting less miles on the cruiser now that I have a 2nd vehicle and motorcycle.

I also got this email!!!!!! I'm so excited 🤗 needless to say the cruiser will be getting some use this summer and fall.
