What do you mean by "primary starting battery". In 24V starting mode both batteries are in series so theoretically are equally loaded. After starting the batteries are connected in parallel so are also used equally. It is important that both...
You really need to check the head over good once you get it. Some things to look for:
- depth of dowel holes
- trueness of machined surfaces
- hose or other anciliary connections - sometimes wrong/missing threads
- coolant passages for debris or...
Sorry for re-posting but thought it should get out there...

Finally pulled off the lower b-pillar trim and removed the mechanism. It seems dried mud was jamming the mechanism. The covers...
Correct - 12v system and starter. Costa Rica does not see cold temperature and this is why they may not need a powerful starter. They do need the AC though!

I think my HDJ-81 automatic with idle up is set a bit high as it almost drives me into the car in front of me when it kicks in at a stop. So about 100 rpm idle up is spec when in drive at a stop or in neutral?
UPDATE: To my surprise the JDM HDJ-81 actually has an 11V fixed delay glow plug system, not the 6V Super glowplug system. However it still needs a functioning glowplug timer to work so going with the 14V glowplugs and a wilson switch simplifies...
Yeah except it actually should actually go through the transmission position switch first rather than directly to an auxiliary relay as I have it wired up.
So my Superglow 6V glowplug controller on my HDJ-81 no longer seems to work and I am replacing it with a manually activated 12V system using the existing main relay and a momentary (wilson) switch. When I measure the resistance across the 14V...
Backing up some of the comments in here as I replaced the front speakers in my 94. This is the driver's side speaker in the door. There is a stamped positive at the blue wire and a stamped negative for the Gray wire.
Check your axle code. I think HDJ-81s are 4:10... You can use stock gears and run 35's if its an automatic, but you'll prematurely wear out clutches with your 5spd standard.
I have the coastal cruisers kit and an aftermarket 3" SS exhaust is squarely in the way on the RH side. I can only see fabricating some sort of bolt together 4" pipe clamp around the exhaust. Anyone with ideas for that pls chime in. Maybe if...
My 2 cents (from a background in specifying fire suppression systems for industrial plants):
- halon dumps are for normal or occassionally occupied rooms
- CO2 is used for unoccupied spaces
- always flood the room/space to deprive it of oxygen -...
Expect to pay around 15000 EUR. Sky is the limit of course... But the rigs there usually have very little rust, whuch is a big plus. There are still quite few available, but most are high milage, of course. But you need a LOT of patience, if you...
