$5.15 usd/usgal in rural Alberta. yipekaiyay MF!
This might make sense if:
a) EVs were available
b) the EV battery technology was actually viable
c) the cost of EVs was reasonable
d) deliveries of EVs were reasonable
e) charging infrastructure...
When I R/R my Warn M12K for service, I use 2 ratchet straps to lower and raise the winch into position, using the top bar of the ARB for support. I have never removed the ARB.
Running too much means the pump taking too long to pressure up (>20sec) or running too often (losing pressure in the system). If the pump is weak it can cause either one so replacing the pump may or may not help. If it doesn't the next easiest...
How would you mount a swingout Jerry Can without blocking the licence plate? I've found a yellow plastic diesel container with an eccentric spout to mount on my ARB roof rack that I intend to attach with a clear plastic hose and valve to fill my...
I think I've only seen one shim on the top, none on the bottom, in 3 different trucks. All seemed identical on both sides but never thought to just throw them all together and let god sort em out. Worrying about rotational preload on bearings...
I agree with @BILT4ME post right at the top. Reinstall the same as it came apart, button it up, and call it good.
Take your fish scale fishing and lose it in the creek.
Thanks for the feedback guys. Yeah I did adjust slack on the kickdown a while ago. Now with the new 35's and stock gears it doesn't spend a lot of time in 4th anyway. The occasional downshift isn't that big a deal now.

Well with shipping, fluids and misc materials and even doing it myself it's probably $2000 ($2600 Canadian). And not skilled enough to repair myself so yeah 5 grand up here is reasonable.
Old thread but a goodie. I never usually touch those bushings but a kit from Australia had a combination short brass bushing with needle bearings I wanted to try. Just couldn't budge the old bushings out.
Anyone know a way to delay the premature 3rd-4th gear upshift under moderate acceleration? It's annoying to constantly manually downshift into 3rd. Haven't seen a solution on here.
Thanks
Some of the first promo vids for the new Defender were shot somewhere in Africa. Tanzania, Algeria can't remember. They stop on this road with a bunch of big rocks. Then they get out and rock the truck back and forth - basically 2 wheels not in...
yep, did mine a couple years back. All i did was dislocate the lever connect to the axle. then permanently tie the rod and move the lever as high as possible to simulate full load. My braking has improved 10x.
Best estimate: OEM fitting ID = 2.5mm versus 1/8" NPT Brass ID = 5mm, so about 4 times the area. Hydraulic friction varies by the 5th power of the diameter so 1/32nd as much flow resistance per unit length if I recall my 2nd year fluid dynamics...
I used a brass bulkhead fitting Greenline Part No. G0808BBH-02-02. It is designed to screw into a tank and provide a 1/8" FNPT cplg thread. Not sure what the female thread was I drilled and tapped into the differential housing to mount the...
Problem Solved! I tapped the breather hole for a larger fitting! Forgot all about that! Thanks ;) Fortunately I just finished taking off the swivels and hadn't pulled the 3rd. Whew!
