Had a short to ground in my Dome circuit, went to remove the drivers side kick panel to check it out and found a rats nest of s***ty crimps and broken connections and about crapped my pants.

Spent way too long looking for WTF these wires were and where they went and couldn’t find anything in the FSM or the electrical wiring diagram supplement.

Thanks to this forum I finally figured out 90% of this mess was from the alarm system that was installed after arrival in the US.

My only question now is which manual is this shown below? Something used by Toyota US in 1997? Anyone know how I can find one? This was extremely helpful and I think I’d still be tearing my hair out if I hadn’t found this picture.

What are the symptoms of your welder not working?

Something awry with the wire speed. Guage says 254"/min and I am getting 6"/min. If I max out the wire speed it only increases to 10"/min.
The unit is still in warranty so hopefully no issues with them resolving the problem.

I prefer mixing in a wheelbarrow, but the manufacturer specs say no hand mixing, so paid a mix on site truck to come out made it really easy and super fast, also borrowed a concrete vibrator to get the concrete under the old slab. Easy work with the right tools!

Leave your gas off and pull your whip out so its straight. Open the cover up. Try it. Can you hear it "whizzing", like the feed is working correctly? If so, check the spool. With the reel getting lighter, check the pre load on the spool, loosen a little bit and try it again. If that's good, put a little more tension on the feed wheels. Just some things I ran in to in the past with my old Lincoln, not sure what you're using.

Like @cruzinfj1 said above. But also if the wire speed dial/attenuator is dirty, give the contacts a squirt of electronics cleaner and a blow out with compressed air. My welder will sometimes just start spitting wire as fast as it can… I always have to open it up and clean it out with compressed air. Hope you find the fix. Finicky welders can be a pain.
