Installed an overhead console.
Since I could not find the original console, this console is printed in 3D, from ASA which is resistant to the temperature and vibrations in the car.
Many thanks to @Ballsie for great modeling and printing.
Space was left for an 8-switch Auxbeam control panel as well as a fuel gauge for the secondary tank.
Since the sun visors are hitting the console, I ordered two Lexus LS400 sun visors.
They also have lighting, which the originals did not have, and the ability to slide out on their axis.
I installed the sun visors with an angle, which were also printed by @Ballsie that will allow them to open to the side without hitting the ceiling.

Finally had a little time to do some preventative maintenance. Starter was occasionally not cranking so I went in and replaced the contacts and plunger. And I’m getting a case of the while I’m in there. New fuel filter installed. This one didn’t look too bad inside. A lot of the mess you can see is from cutting it open. And now that I’ve gotten a good look from underneath I have ordered a new PHH since I’ve got some surface rust I can see from the outside. So better safe than sorry and it looks not too difficult with the starter out of the way. Pic is the top of the PHH which is also showing signs of needing to be replaced. Also a new fuseable link and cover installed while I had the battery disconnected.

Replaced crappy rear shocks with OEMs. Fronts next weekend. Broke plastic nipples on VSV assembly pulling off old crusty vacuum hose. Superglue and tiny straw to hold the pieces together working for now…View attachment 3546537View attachment 3546538View attachment 3546539View attachment 3546540
Installed the front Tokico shocks today. The driver side took forever using vice grips and a flex head ratchet to get the top nut off. Also had to drill out bigger holes in the metal retainers because PO put Monroe shocks on that had smaller diameter ends and the retainers wouldn’t fit on oem shocks. Local dealer didn’t have any of the Toyota retainers.

Replaced the 28 year old injectors with some newer 12 hole style ones and install new injector pigtails as the factory one were brittle and the locks broke. Initial impressions are the engine runs much smoother and throttle response seems better. Hoping for maybe a little better fuel mileage but only time will tell on that.

This spans the last two weekends and the weekdays in between... FINALLY FINISHED getting the Summit Cruiser spare tire swing out welded up and mounted (some lessons learned due to my own blunders). I bought this kit during his last group buy and I think it took close to 5 years for me to get it installed; LOVE IT!!! Replaced every major component of my A/C system (compressor, condenser, evaporator, expansion valve, dryer, evap to firewall a/c line - because one of the two bolts corroded & broke in the threaded end of the line). This, along with my DIY drawer built from a few weeks back, was all in preparation to a camping trip this weekend:

Put on the ARB bumper and White Knuckle sliders for the LC project. Also bought a Seal Skin car cover.
