My oil pressure guage maxes out around the first hash. 1HD-T. Will drop down almost to the bottom of the guage at idle. Been that way since l got it in '21. New oil pressure sensor and BEBs in Nov.

Seeing Dustens guage at horizontal gives me concern of my own loitering around a 1/3.

Mine does the same, fluctuates with engine rpm. Probably close to the above picture at highway speed.

At 80mph I am at 2500, 2700rpms at 85mph. Stock gears and the rubber 315 OD. I don’t run trails rated over a 6 in it and rarely have needed any lower gearing on these “easier” trails. I personally like the hwy cruising speed in this particular Cruiser vs off-road ability.

My other Cruiser I am building will probably be more like 70mph top cruising speed. I want to be able to do up to say an 8 rated trail in it so will sacrifice top end for that.

Cheers

Oil type and weight has a lot to do with it in my opinion. We only use OEM filters so that’s not a factor in my shop. I have yet to see a worn out oil pump in a 1FZ, 1HZ, 1HDT, 1HDFT or 1HDFTE. Even with 300,000+ miles. Got a 475,000 mile 1FZ here I haven’t torn down yet, interested to check it as well. Always check them during tear down and they are always within specs, some like new with 200,000+ miles on them.

Cheers

Mine used to sit low and barely move. A new sensor fixed that. But mines pretty low at idle

The gauges on these are a reference only.

You need to install an actual gauge with numbers to determine what pressure you're really at and cross check that to the FSM. One that has a direct connection for the oil line, not from the sensor reading electrically.

Yeah, agreed. I wouldn't put a lot of stock in the actual needle position from the oil pressure sensor. I had some issues with mine recently and went through the original, 2 used spares and finally a new OE unit. All read wildly different. Same engine, same oil, same filter, same harness.

It's just there to tell you that you have oil pressure and pay attention if it moves off the normal range your truck typical operates in.

Trying to rehab my knee and get back into shape after a year of downtime and a knee surgery last June.

Just received some goodies from Dubai for my 97 that came from Dubai.

Also a couple things for a 100 that were missing from the one I just got.

Plastic surround for the shifters, and cold box, and no plans to hook it up. I can't get the knob off the transfer case selector, feels like I'm going to break something if I put anymore pressure on it.

Wow those turbo models must be way faster than the stuff they sold here. I could not dream going 100+ on mine

120ish is about as hard as I push it. But she runs 110 all day

Accidentally bought the wrong window seal, this one has a cutout for a chrome trim piece. Oh well
