LOOK AT THE ANGLE OF THE JACK STAND ON THE FRONT AXLE ! ! !

It's all good, he has the tire under the rocker panel..... 🤣🤣

Alright, to be fair I was never under the rig in this configuration, and fixed for pulling 3rds. Also bought 2 more 6 ton stands.
I always move tires to either side of whatever area I will be working on, so when working on knuckles one tire in under front bumper frame and one under rocker panel/frame at least will improve survival if a jack stand fails.

I do the same, rather crush the tire/rim than a body part. I am paranoid when under the vehicle, got some nice 4x4s to stick under it now in addition to the stands.

Sweet...where did you get that unit? I bet you can actually see the lights now. Mine seem to be only visible at night. :(
Are you able to post PNs or a screenshot. This is a much needed upgrade for many. Thx

Where you on the Pickle by chance?
Yup, that was me. I just told my wife how your wife was a bada*s and drove up the obstacle. years ago I had a 1973 K5 that my wife hydrolocked in a mud pit as she went flying out and took out a decent sized tree in the process. She is all about V8 power

I'm sitting at work, hammering refresh on dhl, stalking my package.

Well I got my hopes up for dhl'a odd tracking to let me down.

Apparently they're delivery date was to whomever the third party delivery service is. So god knows when I'll get it.

Here is the parts list from my order, do note that I've detailed the Auto button next to the part number as not every FZJ80 has this feature but instead a block off plate.

Took it to the car wash to get cleaned, installed some stickers, and proceeded to get it dirty again.

Yeah, I had overlooked the jack stand angle. Appreciate the criticism and wouldn't have changed it without it. Thinking about it a bit more and looking at stands and its clear that they would be weak to any torsion on the extentable portion of stand. So without being perp to the load the axle wants to force the extension to fully contact the axle, torquing it. Things I never listened to/

Also, I am a "young" guy in his 30s but I always wonder what kind of sketchy s*** the folks did back in the day. Like high center the rig on s deck of logs to access 3rd member. use old cinder blocks and call them good. A few decades of employment (and sketchy experiences) and they like a real safety factor.

Either way appreciate the heads up on stands

replaced my starter contacts to hopefully resolve an intermittent no crank issue. old parts didn't look that worn but the keen eye will notice a missing paper gasket. not sure how important that is but the new one now lives inside the starter. still need to remove the TVSS security/keyless system as it may be part of the problem.

new AC Delco charcoal canister. original vent to air was too sort so its hanging out by the framerail until i can rig up an extension. Ziptie hold the single clamp tight; removed the bottom clamp as it interferes w/ the fuse box.

@TRAIL TAILOR front recovery points painted and installed with new hardware.

Got a new project to work on! The first-ever electronic tcase parking brake for the 80 series by Boosted & Built Garage. Waited almost a year for this thing to get released. This was a big safety issue for me since I had to remove my parking brake when doing the rear suspension. There was no room for the factory parts given my coilover mounting and the damn thing was pretty much useless anyway.
