Washed, vacuumed, all of them. Started waxing one. Then it rained. Figure the odds of that.

Enjoyed some mountain time a couple weeks ago. Really enjoyed the cooler weather.

Pulled the cover off of her and blew the dust off after a two year home remodel made me sideline any Cruiser work. Put the new wheels and tires with death spacers on and started collecting parts for cooling system.View attachment 2995864
HAHA! “Death spacers”

Original rotors at about 180k miles and fairly worn/grooved. Figured I got my money's worth and time to install new ones. Since I've got to pull the hub I may as well clean and repack the bearings. Bearings and races looked and felt perfect. Was last in this hub some 100k ago and all looked very good inside - must have done a decent grease repacking job last time :)

Got the rotor/hub off and then cleaned a bunch of death valley 'dirt' off.

Clean the old grease out of the bearings. Bunch of simple green and a few rinse cycles.

Clean the hub of all old grease. Then left a while in the sun to dry.

Reassemble it all. Picture before slipping in new pads.

Passenger side done, tomorrow I'll do the driver's side.

Being in the bay area and owned since new, bolts and stuff are total non-events to remove. Also, since I've done all my own work I'm not dealing with some previous gorilla's torque/cross threaded stuff.

cheers,
george.

Some people must think you have a problem, I'm just jealous lol.
My neighbors think I have a problem, need a bigger driveway and a way to stack vehicles 🤔

Sprayed my downpipe nuts in preparation for my exhaust showing up.

Also got my exhaust hangers and hardware.
Thanks to @JettaGLi16v for the tip.

Received my LSeat package Thursday.. Did the console cover yesterday and the headrests this morning.. Fairly straight forward so far. Hardest part was stuffing the headrest foam into the new covers. About like me trying to get back into my pre-covid pants.. I think the wrinkles will go away once the summer heat heats.. On to the seats...
