Did a little yard work. The stump put up quite the fight but eventually the winch prevailed.

I will never understand shipping times.

ORder parts from partsouq. They arrive in 7-10 days. Everytime.

Order parts from Canada. 298 miles from my house. 2 weeks from now is when they're expected.

Now, this isn't a vendor poke. They don't control this. Its a poke at certain shipping companies

DHL, UPS, Fedex and Post is our order of gotos for shipping.

Cheers

Always had great luck when receiving via DHL.

Top notch in my opinion especially with import customs duties. They are dialed for that.

Cheers

Yes DHL, FedEx loves to charge taxes on everything.

What sucks is they snail mail you for the import duties. DHL I get a text and email with a link to pay it, it’s super easy and smooth.

Cheers

With the cost of diesel vs the cost of gasoline its a wash isn't it?

For what I wanted in a land cruiser I couldn't find a gasser.

I wanted under 150k
I wanted baselined
I wanted a mild lift already

A base lines low mile 80 series isn't cheap.

I paid 22,500 for mine.

When I purchased mine fuel costs were as such that a gas model was $.30 a mile in fuel on my daily commute.

My diesel was $.21 a mile.

I drive 300-400 a week. So each week in fuel alone I save approximately $30 a week. That's 1500+ a year.

I figure after 3-4 years of ownership I'll have pocketed the difference in diesel premium.

Not to mention I wanted a diesel.

There are a lot of reasons I wanted it that don't apply to most. So I kept it basic.

It's neat driving rhd.
It's mechanical injection and a full hydro transmission. So it's simple.

It's a 91 but I have a full floater, rear discs, things that weren't available here.

Very convenient having some 6M1 around

Its the best color, dont you know

Nice! Where'd you snag it? Been looked for some that wasn't $40 a can or just a tiny bottle of touchup from a dealer.

Have used them several times and was impressed with color match and results. You get what you pay for.

You save roughly 160 dollars in 10,000 miles on average with the diesel prices and your mpg I figure. 11.5mpg vs 16mpg avg. So in 100,000 you'll save 1600 dollars or so. I'm not bashing your diesel decision at all. Just running numbers on the savings. I'm glad your happy with your diesel. I thought about going diesel as well. A lot of factors go into the decision.

Found some Unobtanium at my local stealership. Put the old one through the Vaporrust and wire wheel treatment several times.....kiddos like warm toes in the backseat.
