@Dusten i wonder if those are for curtains. I know there were camper models JDM but they look a little low for that.

pro tip. Bought my exped Megamat on the used gear site at rei.com it was basically new for about $100 off. Well worth the cost anyway you slice it.

Also picked us a generic shreaded memory foam pillow, in a stuff sack on Amazon.

And a gazelle T4 tent. Game changer for tenting, especially since I’m the only one setting a breaking camp for me + two kids. Feel like I should be getting a commission on selling those to my friends at this point.

I’m considering making a manifold that will inflate my mat and kids mats simultaneously with the air compressor…they’d have different cutoff psi and 3D printed adapters for the mats….ahhhh dreams. I still need to train our new puppy to not eat her own Pooo, so priorities….

The Gazelle is a great option! I have a t4, might try an awning room too.

I have made a few adapters for mattresses and air pumps. For a thermarest or exped. It's also nice to be able to vacuum out the air too. The pumptek one works well

I thought so too, but like you said , they're low

All of these homeless "campers" really need to GTFO. Or at least something more needs to be done about them. It's a real problem and they are going to be the reason that these public lands get shut down. Some of these 'environmental' groups are just itching to have any kind of reason to shut it all down. A lot of great groups are involved in cleaning all this mess but it has to have some kind of punishment for it actually happening.

"target" shooting? hahaha...that would cure the problem...not that I am implying anything! I mentioned this in some other clean-up videos somewhere but as big as the group(s) get to clean they should also draft a form letter and send them to all the other groups that then get sent to the respective government representatives. Force them to do their jobs. That's really the only way this would get solved.
I've been cleaning up public lands in the hope they stay open to recreation with various organized groups in both Canada and the US for over 25 years. Sadly I've still seen plenty of areas closed down. It tends to be a mall group of us that head out to these areas to help and a tsunami of idiots who drive "similar looking lifted trucks" that don't give two craps that tear it up faster than I can ever fix it.

Worst I ever saw was a wilderness area outside Calgary, AB - We'd been helping the park rangers there for about 5 years with major clean ups and trail repairs. A graduating class of (we estimate) 300- 400 idiots went up there to party following graduation and utterly destroyed the place. Burned everything, left so much trash and debris we filled 2x 30 yard roll off dumpsters and tore up lots of sensitive areas with their vehicles. Even though we helped fix it the area was still shut down after the state legislature thought about it for a couple of months.

For my efforts I ended up with a picture of my truck and the others in my 4x4 club in the paper, taken when we were up there for the clean up under a headline "McLean Creek Wilderness ruined by off-roaders". That felt super awesome after helping for so long. I contacted the paper ... they didn't care. Said the image was representative and they didn't discuss us in the article.

I own guns and shoot on public lands. I drive a modified 4x4. I volunteer for he Washington Off Road Recovery Network and rescue people from the wilderness. I pack out more trash than I create or pack in. I've given people gas and water, fixed their vehicles, helped them when they're lost all with very little thanks. Despite all of the effort the first two unfortunately make me the bad guy in the eyes of a lot of folks out there.

I have the t4 plus which is a t4 plus an additional room which is great for setting up your gear and a table when it's skeeter season.

The bent part was 42$ and the flat one 29$.
I ordered them separately, but I believe it would be a bit cheaper if they were both on the same order.
De flat one was a different design and Im not gonna used it anymore

I grew up In oregon in the 1980’/90’s. Used to go to soooo many awesome spots for outdoor fun. Went back in 2016, was absolutely disgusted by what I saw. Homeless camps, trash everywhere and piles of human s*** all over the place even right on the river bank.

For a bunch of people who preach about the environment they need to get their s*** together.

We don’t have that here in Idaho nor are we going to put up with. A NEw Yorker came out, took him to a local wheeling trail, he started tossing his cig butts on the ground. He got an ass chewing from me for that and I made him pick them up.

Cheers

Honestly with how bad wildfires have gotten, they should just stop selling cigarettes in western states. From my experience, I'd be shocked if even 10% of the cigarette smoking population actually properly disposes of their butts anywhere, much less in the woods.
