Thought I’d share. I started using these $8 Home Depot pump sprayers for gear oil a few years ago. Easies way to fill gear oil. 6 pumps, leave it and it will dispense a gallon of oil in about 5 minutes. Used to replace my trans fluid after the solenoid job. No funnel, no mess. Not sure if anyone else has done this. It works.
Pic or link?

Towed the caravan down to a lake a few hours away for a weekend of water sport

New front O2 sensor bung welded in... old one was rusting away and leaking....rear sensor bolts were gone so I melted them away with a torch, welded new studs on and voila

New sensors front and back... No CEL for the first time since I've owned this truck 🥳🎉

I'd share pics but ugly fluxcore welds on exhaust aren't much to look at.

New fusible link, old one was quite sad.

Question about ground testing in the cabin.
I am trying to run down the whirring / spark / engine noises that come through the speakers.

I reviewed the EWD, and found the 2 ground points that the radio might use (behind the kick panels)

I found page 178 in the EWD has this section:

Based on service hint S-15, would I want to find pin 3 in the stereo harness, and us that to perform a ground test?
Same with pins 4 and 7?

To properly check the ground, you will want to put your red voltmeter lead on Pin 7 and your black lead on the negative battery terminal with everything turned on. This will measure voltage drop on the ground circuit, which should be less than 0.5V (500mV). Any more than that indicates excessive resistance in the ground circuit. HTH

Thank you! I will run down some longer multimeter leads :D

Got a Smittybilt winch for a great deal from a fellow member. Didn't work initially but after replacing a corroded connector, its back to working condition. Thinking of switching out to a synthetic rope once the budget allows. Speaking of budget, I know cheap and good doesn't always go together. I've read some posts with options and will be looking into seeing what fits my needs.

What's your lube of choice?
For the plastic gear and rubber type washers I use Sil-Glyde silicone

For seat slides with metal on metal I use white lithium grease

Finally got around to installing the Rugged Bound tailgate storage cover. I bought it months ago with a group buy. I’m really pleased with the stability of this two hatch solution. Totally suitable for standing on. I opted for bolts rather than the supplied rivets. It’s going to be the perfect place for some soft and light items like recovery straps, gloves snd coveralls etc.
