that looks like yankee boy basinWas able to get up in the San Juan’s one last time and enjoy the leaves and hike around before the snow really sets in. Was pretty cool the differences between the first two photos and the next two was only 25 minutes and 2,000 feet up. Looks like an entirely different world.

if you can get 9011 with 65 W 10 W brighter than what you haveDid a quick little headlight bulb upgrade. Bought some sylvania 9012 HIR2 bulbs to replace the stock 9006. Trimmed a little bit of the tab like I read the headlight thread about this, i hope I didnt miss something and don’t need to change anything else too like new wiring or something.
Seems all good so far
In the first pic i have just the drivers side swapped out. Def can notice the difference…and when i took it for a quick spin i def noticed it shine further out too. I hated having the super white brighter ones. Thank you ih8mud.

If it’s going to be an admitted garage queen, no point in a rack at all. No need to make a mall crawler...it’s not a jeep.So what started out as rebuilding the axles and cleaning up the undercarriage during the Covid "work from home days" has now morphed into a full restoration starting with the outside. Premier Autosports here in Richardson, TX will be doing the honors and they have been fantastic to work with so far! The goal is to bring it back to its former glory as when it rolled off the factory floor. Other than the addition of an ARB front bumper, the vehicle will remain as "stock'ish" and OEM as it can be (285 or 305 tires too). I've been ordering and squirreling away new parts for a few months now so it will be refreshed with nothing but the best (ie, Toyota!)...they even tracked down an OEM windshield already (fingers crossed that they actually did).
With that said, and the million dollar question...should I stay with the original roof rack or go with something else? I have a Gamiviti ordered for the 200 that should be here in a few weeks but it will be doing most of the overlanding work vs the 80 which will be my garage queen/pick up the kids from school/poke around town/occasional trail rig.

Had it towed for service, but along the way the tow truck lost control of it. Now it's sitting in the Toyota service lot while the body shop is 3 months out. I'm looking for the next best thing. Insurance will pay about 4290 but finding someone to do the work well and find the parts will be hard. Grill, bumper, hood, lights, paint..probably more. The parking brake was limp when I tried to set it. I realized that I haven't seen the other 80 series I used to see in town in a long time. If anyone knows a place in Eugene, Oregon, let me know. Kind of a sick feeling...These rigs are such beauties...
Do the party lights attract more Elk to your area?Explored some new country for the elk hunt next weekend and set up elk camp.

So sad to hear about the mess! Definitely fight the insurance on that.
