Charcoal canister issues?
Random tandem issues. Newish charcoal canister. P401 and gas tank pressure. Heat, altitude…

Everything went away Sunday at some time driving out.

I suppose that valve thingie under the manifold is starting to act up.

:meh:

Went out to play.

Rebuilt my rear elocker last week, typical issues such as lose magnets and general crud. Tested with a battery and works great. However, could not get to work using the switch. Anyhow, found part of the problem today. The connector under jack location was all corroded. Pulled apart and pins were all green. Cleaned them up, but found pin 12 just gone… anyone know where to get these pins? Also, when finished, should I use some dielectric grease on this connector? Pictures are after some cleaning, I’ve got more cleaning to do..

Before I put these back together, is it advisable or recommend to use a dielectric grease on the connectors? Anyone done this? Thanks.. dg

The first step in denying that you have a problem is ignoring even the slightest indication that you have a problem.

Hauled this '96 home today. @cruiserinsanity began working at the local Oreillys two months ago and he always drives a Cruiser to the store and the 60 has gotten a lot of attention. A few weeks ago I told him that one day someone would come into the store looking to sell a Cruiser. Yesterday was that day and it was the 60 caught the owners attention.

eBay Snorkel Install. Was hoping it would be a Safari knockoff w/ lettering on the side but no luck.

I feel like I got the snorkel pretty flush to the fender, is the upper half supposed to be that far away from the column? I couldn't really get it closer unless but maybe I was doing something wrong

Yes, that's how the top half is supposed to fit. The bracket keeps it from running the pillar.

Baselined all fluids. More things to install this weekend!

Finished up building the NWTI jerry can holder. Made a mount to attach it and hold the recovery boards. Now I can add the license plate light and backup camera. After checking the visibility, I think I'm going to keep the boards somewhere else until I'm offroad then put the on the mount for quick access. That or just not worry about who or what is behind me unless backing up but that's why the camera is there.

Can you fab a mount on the side of the can holder so the boards are perpendicular to the rear hatch? I think @Box Rocket did something similar.

Yep I could do that too although it "might" obstruct the left turn signal/tail light. I'd have to go measure it. I don't think there's enough room between the tire and holder to make that side an option.

I've been waiting for a muffy for months now... just got this from Summit Racing
WLK-54223 QUIET-FLOW3 MUFFLER ASSEMBLY
Unfortunately, we have just been advised by the manufacturer that this item is no longer going to be available. Due to this new information, we will be unable to supply this part.

Might be a different story from local OoOoOReally's,,,

I've found that Bosal mufflers have a little better quality than the Walker brand.

Couldn't find the time to get back under the truck so fiddled around with this printed cupholder. I still need to sort out how I'm going to secure it to the console there.

The SEM Monterrey is just about as close a match as you can get to the Oak interior on the 40th. Working on replacing a broken recline stud and the painted button looks spot on.
