More Central Washington exploration this weekend. Had a great weekend of camping and crawling around in a sea of scrubland.

damn CO emissions.... Front lockout or only 33's? Know FOCO has the AWD but didn't think it would do 35's?Passed emissions last week. Did pretty good for 335k miles. Had to buy a new gas cap to pass. Always a nerve-wracking experience... I have a long history of battling the emissions test![]()
Replaced all the stuff I broke - went with the stubby antenna kit since my ant motor was trash anyway and some aftermarket tail lights. Still need to fix the ding in the windshield.Hrm... what did I do? Well, I f'ed-up quite a bit. My wife and I were playing babysitter for her cousin for a couple of days - "Let's take the Land Cruiser" she said...
Wednesday, we traveled about 100 miles just fine. Then the fun began when we arrived. First, I backed into their recycle bin. No biggie, but evidently the bin hit the wall and stopped moving and that cracked my DS rear tail light housing. Nice hole in the clear reverse lense... Noticed that the next morning.
Then, when returning from shuffling kids around I missed a turn to the house and ended up on a cul-de-sac. Well, there was a branch leaning down in the sac which I hit... slowly. That whacked my antenna, causing the mast to whack into the windshield and put a nice quarter sized crack in it. That kinked the mast as well.
Saturday came home just fine.
So, just now while typing this - I spilled coffee on my keyboard. I'm going outside to get some part numbers for replacing some stuff...
Let's see what I F'up today!

38’s are cool. So are 27.5.
Is it just me or do they sit a lot farther away from the rockers than other sliders?New OPOR sliders from metal tech!

I'm surprised they put you on the AWD rollers. I even had small 315's and they would't. Same thing here but thinking it was attempt 4 by then. I have the lockouts now so hopefully this fiasco is behind me. OBDII always worked well but cant get system ready now, no codes just not system readiness on the oxygen sensors I believe. What really BS is I have drove by the road side countless times but the only vehicle I don't get a pass. Not sure due to height or what. I do like the Fort Collins station though. They always seem to be more willing to let things slide lol. They're 315's. When I got emissions done two years ago, they told me my tires were too big and just plugged into my OBD port and that was it. This time I brought it in and they put it on the AWD rollers. I failed for the gas cap and came back a couple days later and they said "sorry, we measured your tires and we can't test you," and I said "you put it on the rollers two days ago. Either test it again, or just check my gas cap and pass me," and they put it on the rollers again. I was half expecting the truck to jump off the dyno and go flying out into the parking lot
I've had the truck a little over 6 years, so I've had to do emissions 3 times now. Every time I fail and have to fix something. But a gas cap is is pretty tolerable. First time it was cats, second time it was OBD readiness for a bad o2 sensor. I just hate going in twice every time
Is it just me or do they sit a lot farther away from the rockers than other sliders?
That's really strange because this is the 2nd time seeing these looking like this. I don't like the fit on these at all as it looks like you give up a couple inches of ground clearance. I don't remember seeing them like that before. And it's pretty lame they never responded to you.Yes
Odd because I had a set on my 94 and they didn’t. Bought a set for my 95 and not only did one leg not fit right (couldn’t get ubolt on) they sat lame low.
Sold em before even getting one installed and bought WKOR sliders.
I sent MT a msg about the one leg not fitting and how low they sat. Never got a response.
Cheers

Had a set on a previous 80. Didn't have the fitment issue, but they did hang comically low too. I have the old style version on my LX and they tuck super well...nothing like the current ones. They really changed the design for the worse.Fit like total ass.

I blew a day on these and lost over $500. MT lost a shop as a customer. I was going to cut the legs off and Fab my own but my time is valuable to me so just bought WKOR instead.
Totally lame.
Cheers
Man, I really had a toss up between MT and WKOR - Sounds like I should be glad I went with WKOR. Sorry to hear you had such a crap experience.Fit like total ass.

On on top looks good, but in Germany I think that they might frown and shake their heads at me a bit.
It's my first boar this year, hoping for more. They are a bit of a pest in Germany...... Delicious
Awesome Boar, I wish we got to see more pictures of cruisers with harvested game in the back. Hopefully I get a deer, an elk, and maybe even an antelope in the back of mine this year.
Yes they do sit out more than I thought they would or have seen pictures that did not seem so exaggerated. Not sure if I want to keep them? Fitment was not bolt on and walk away. I had to grind the welds down a little on the rear trailing arm mount to get the u bolt to fit into the bracket. I will email metal tech and see if they changed the design. Is it just me or do they sit a lot farther away from the rockers than other sliders?
