Installed my Strong Arm struts tonight on both the hood and rear lift gate. Really like not having to use a stick to keep the hood from hitting me in the head ;)

Is that a direct replacement for the standard reverse light bulbs?
If I understand correctly, I'm not sure if it is a standard replacement, but it seems to fit the bill.. To see and be seen !

Gotcha looks bad ass. I was just wondering if it requires any modifications to the tail light. But looks like you just swap the old bulbs for the led bulbs. Correct?

Yes, just a straight swap!

@amgraham I really need to do the outer window seals and channel runs. Did you get yours from McGeorge or elsewhere?

today I finished up the Hella horn install, for anyone doing this mod they changed the internal wiring so the horn mount is no longer a ground path. You’ll need a ground wire from a terminal to your body ground or bus bar, polarity doesn’t appear to matter.

also installed Depo clear corners and marker lenses, LEDs, and the LED compatible flasher relay from SuperbrightLEDs. I have the corners set up as flashers for better visibility, so with a white LED in the lens below the headlight it’s more like a DRL or a less-bright parking light that won’t blast your entire campsite when you pull in.

NB: the OE Toyota corner trims (top) swap onto the Depo housings with a 9/10 fitment, to keep the colour scheme and any patina from the front trims consistent with the headlights and grille.

Great mod!! Got a part number got for the blinker flasher combo? Maybe a pic or two? I'd like to convert my corners into blinkers as well

Superbrightleds stock #81980-32010 which they also call CF13GL-02, it's a direct replacement for the OE flasher relay although it lacks the T-shaped guide so you have to finesse it into the socket a little more. 1156-A18-T-2PK for the amber turn signal and 194-NWHP5 for the parking light, but choose a different color if you're not doing the mod below.

It's hard to compare before/after because I did it in conjunction with swapping the bulb holders/wiring for the corner lights and front signals— so the front lamps become more of a DRL with a white light in a clear lens, and the corner becomes a standard turn signal flasher visible from the side of the truck as well. If you remove your headlight it's super easy to fish the factory bulb holders out from their original locations and into the new ones, and the bulb holders themselves interchange just fine to the other housing. This requires no additional wiring or inline modules (other than the LED relay above) and the truck doesn't know the bulbs are in a different spot. Really improves the visibility for traffic approaching from the side especially with the much brighter LED. NB: it's not strictly legal as there isn't an amber reflector/lens at the front corner of the truck, so if cops like to hassle people for that kind of stuff where you live you may need extra steps.

Drove another one home this week. Coming up this weekend I need to complete a knuckle rebuild.

Right cruiser looks bigger even without the ARB.

What was wrong with the old one?

Serious question btw, do they go bad eventually? If I'm remembering your build thread correctly you've sunk a ton into making it all shiny and nice but my mind can't wrap itself around replacing a coolant tank without something being wrong with it.

They get brittle when they get old. The washer jars more so because the sun can get to them in between the hood and fender.

Yeah I found a new, yet small, puddle under the vehicle the other day. Was washer fluid. Something else to make new but not urgent. Probably replace the diverter valve while I am at it too. 🙄
