Installed B7 Audi S4 seats (well, only had time for the drivers, will get to the passenger next weekend)

Power, heated, full lumbar. It’s NICE.

Installed my Wagongear tailgate lid. I’ve been wanting one for like 8 years and I’m so glad I held out for one.

@Brodie those are great seats, how did you get the heat and brackets to work?

So I got Planted brackets since their base is the largest between them and Wedge. Had to do the hammer-down of the bump on the transmission tunnel so many seat installs require. I got some flat bar and extended the bracket out to the sides about 1.5in on both sides. It fits but it‘s real close, doesn’t rub the door pocket or the B—pillar.

For the wiring there’s a company called Kufatec in Germany that makes retrofit wiring harnesses for a ton of European cars. I got the separate seat power and the heated seat harnesses, put VW Passat B5.5 rotary switches in the center console coin spots, they work fine but I need to fiddle with them to get them mounted perfectly in there. I made a small fuse box that’s under the center console, not the easiest to get to but three bolts and you’re there, made routing the wires real easy.

It's not always just about 4wheelin.

Ive been traveling my way up from central California on up to BC Canada made a stop at @baldilocks secret hide-out... chilaxed a few there playing shop... havnt played shop with toyota buddies since like the 90s. It was a bunch of fun talking about America, Land Cruisers, guns & family...
@shocktower swung bye it was a great day.

I had a good time doing the arm swaps

Rear heater bypass completed this weekend. The heater T at the firewall didnt look too happy and my lines underneath appear to be leaking a bit.

I used these parts in case anyone is interested and doesnt want to Play the guessing game at autozone:

"90 degree bend hose". This was direct plug n play minus a few inches cut off the straight part.

I use this for the "fire wall to block" line. This is 6 feet long so needless to say i have some extra heater line for the future. I think i used less than a foot of this.

And then of course a handful of your favorite clamps.

And below are the condition of my factory parts. 212k.

Its Anza Borrego time of the year :) . I have spent over 21 days in the park and still have tons to see. This trip was with MS LCP so a couple days base camp was at Agua Caliente hot springs. With over 100 miles of dirt in Anza we only saw 1 vehicle aside from 2 rangers.👍

I’ll ask around, but with shipping it will probably end up costing as much as what you have there. What’s ironic is that I actually have a set of Weathertechs (1st and 2nd rows) on the way from the US but then these were released so I figured I’d get a set since this entire Hippo set would cost less than just the trunk mat from Weathertech shipped to Manila.

There’s also a version for those with bench seats. Difference is the second row doesn’t have the cutout for the center console armrest. This is what my brother has:

I have weathertech fronts and thinking about getting the rears. Do the rear seats still fold up with one of these floor mats in place?

Driving home from Moab today. Over 1200 miles in this trip, over 200 off-road.

The Cruiser did not disappoint, zero issues and it drove over everything I asked it to effortlessly.

Cheers

Went to change my oil and noticed coolant on the bottom of my bell housing.
Tracked it to the stub of hose going from hard line to heater core.
Spent a few hours wrestling a new one in. Clamps had cut the hose and when the motor would torque it open and dump coolant.

Also fit 37 varying sizes pumpkins in it.

Keep finding a lot of oil in my pcv line. Need to install the catch can. Motor is 10k miles old. Shouldn't be blowby. Do these things really push that much oil into the pcv?

Wondering now If the rotella t6 is the culprit

I rebuilt the knuckles and installed new front brakes and rotors. It was definitely a messy job, but I’m glad I saved about $600 doing it myself.

Nice work!! Not only did you save $600 you solidified your relationship with your rig. 2 questions: How are you liking the new rotors? And how do you like those Ironman shocks and springs? Lifted right?
