It was definitely a good time.

Installed Hippo Techmat floor mats. Very happy with the fit and price. First two rows were about $125 in USD and cargo mat was $39

These floor mats look great. Wish we could get them here in the USA. Let us know if you know a way for us to get them here.

Are these sold in the US?

I’ll ask around, but with shipping it will probably end up costing as much as what you have there. What’s ironic is that I actually have a set of Weathertechs (1st and 2nd rows) on the way from the US but then these were released so I figured I’d get a set since this entire Hippo set would cost less than just the trunk mat from Weathertech shipped to Manila.

There’s also a version for those with bench seats. Difference is the second row doesn’t have the cutout for the center console armrest. This is what my brother has:

I thought it was 150K. Silly me.

He hasn’t broken in yet, the D light is still on. Heard the D light is the built in secret broken in indicator, once it’s off then it’s officially broken in per Toyota.

Ah. Then I’m good.

This happened yesterday for me as well (my "D" light still works too👍)...

During the last 100K and 4 years as a DD, the 80 has never left me stranded and always puts a smile on my face when I drive it. I see no reason to not expect the same for the next 100K.

The quote below is shamelessly lifted from the Land Cruiser Heritage Museum, but I found it appropriate :).

What it Means to Own a Land Cruiser
When you stand in front of a Land Cruiser you are looking at a survivor of 50 years of hard and well-earned development, loved by people around the world… possessing an almost mythical degree of reliability and durability, certainly a source of pride for any owner.

"To drive a Land Cruiser is to vicariously drive the roads of the entire world over the past 50 years, to ride in the driver's seat of a real chariot. What other 4x4. indeed what other passenger car can take you to that special place?"

~Nobby ***ushima, The Land Cruiser -Special Issue of the 50th Anniversary- 1951-2001, pg 190

Finally managed to shorten my exhaust to "pre axle turn down" style.
Decided to remove the stupid carpet cover on the tailgate and install an aluminium plate. I ordered 4mm - which is completely overkill, think 2 or 3mm would have done it. I highly recommend to put some insulating material under the aluminium. Prevents rattling sounds and metal to metal contact.

If anyone is intrested in the process, please let me know - I think it has been covered a couple of times in diffrent threads.

Whish everybody a good week.
