Just replaced the front sway bar bushings. Hopefully I get enough time this weekend to finally do the front control arms, panhard bars, and swap in the refurbished rear control arms. TBD. And rear shocks. Thing is handling sloppy AF currently....

What lift do you have and how's the handling been after the bracket?
Not to hijack, BUT with my lift the Delta bracket made the truck handle again, it was always a death trap on highway now it just cruises, change lanes easy its a lifesaver. I bought whiteline HD bars fr/rear hoping it fix the problem and it didnt the delta bracket was the key.

Thanks. I assume you're on a bigger lift? Trying to see how much of a difference I could expect on a more proletariat lift. I just have 2.5" OME and 33's.

Adam how are uploading good pics to this forum? I cannot 6200 something resolution wont happen.
I don't use the "attach files" forum function. I have my pics hosted elsewhere. I use Flickr to host my photos. I use it as an additional backup for my files as I've lost too many images over the years from crashed hard drives and thumbdrives. Now I have no less that 4 backups of everything that I don't want to lose.
I used to use Photobucket but they went stupid on image hosting/sharing so I bailed. Flickr has been a much better replacement for me. It will store the full resolution but when you want to share to a forum (for instance) you can select a resolution you want to display at. IH8MUD forces all images to a set image size regardless of size I select on Flickr. But other forums will allow for full resolution if you want to. I never post full res images since it's a bit pointless and forces most people to have to scroll up/down/side/side to view the entire image.

Finished setting timing after rebuild. Charged the AC which is now I've cold. And replaced my muffler with a magnaflow. Sounds horrible.

Note to self: be sure your bushing driver (socket) is flat before driving any bushings with it :( And a question to the mud braintrust, although I think I already know the answer. Get a new bushing or run it like this?

Just did the same!

Let me guess: Rear track bar?

I did this to two bushings. I chose to replace them again, as it split enough of the rubber, I wanted it right. For another $28 total for two, it was worth it to me!

I changed my press tool and used a pulley locking collar that was flat on two sides, had a large hole in the center, but the OD was large enough to pick up a couple size bushings and the thickness was enough to not interfere with the center collar.

Front, but it's the same bushing. I have extras that were planned for the rear, it would be easy enough to use one of those and order another one before I do the rear, but the cost would be higher than $22 :o

Front and rear track bars on an 80 do not take the same size bolt, so even the the OD's are the same, the bushings are not technically interchangeable.

Rick Alderson @creative_custom_finishing totally knocked my turbo valve cover out of the park. I’ve never seen something so beautiful. I had AN-10 fittings welded on and Rick did his magic. #hydrodipping and several #PPG clear coats. This thing is sooo damn sexy. I can’t wait to do more using this process. Thanks Rick!!
