I got after the oil pump gasket leak. The step where you put the breaker bar on the crank and bump the starter is certainly a leap of faith. The good folks at harbor freight comp’d me a new breaker bar and I upgraded to the 3/4” drive for attempt #2. View attachment 1598769
Snap on 4X torque multiplier makes the job super easy.

Kept ol’ grizz out of the salt

Picked up some parts from the dealer. My stock spark plugs (K16R-U) are made in Indonesia.

Sigh

Nice! Hindsight I wish I did mine in white over tan.

The white is whiter than stock, but I like it. Do you mean two-tone or is yours tan now?

Good ol' Horror Fright. There's nothing quite like the thrill of saving a few bucks in the face of death or great bodily harm.

I have a lot of things from HF too. Their 20 ton press is sketch-city but it works. Here's a video pressing out my OEM bushings. Turn up the volume so you can hear the bang. Guess I got lucky because apparently their plates have been known to explode.

Don't care what brand press you use for that job, they all seem to go BANG!

I just bought the HF press too and $600 worth of bushings. A little intimidated by the job. The bang in that video actually got my adrenaline going a little bit sitting here at my desk. Anybody have a wits end bushing driver kit they wanna loan me? Or any suggestions on what to use for a socket/driver?

Mine was originally white, it's solid monsterlined tan now.

I considered that color for a long time. I had an 86 FJ60 that was tan, and I loved it. In the end, I really like the white contrast for the window tint and the white. My son says it's a Stormtrooper now, but I need black wheels to change my nickname for it.

Do you have any pics of yours? Did you spray or brush it on?
