I considered that color for a long time. I had an 86 FJ60 that was tan, and I loved it. In the end, I really like the white contrast for the window tint and the white. My son says it's a Stormtrooper now, but I need black wheels to change my nickname for it.

Do you have any pics of yours? Did you spray or brush it on?
It was done at shop my boss was managing at the time. It's actually upol raptor liner and was sprayed on. The hood was supposed to be much darker, but the shop missed what I was trying to convey.

My chevy volt is white with black roof/trim/wheels. True story, the fact it looks like a storm trooper may have been a significant factor in the purchase :o

Drinking beer and cutting wood! Cheap plywood.

Did manage to get my nephew to help!
I am going to redo these later, I just need to sort of organize the back for now. I will probably use 3/4 birch and plywood the next time. I went 43" wide between the wheel arches(43.5 to 44 might fit but looks tight), 40" long. I made the cross piece at 34 inches so that would leave me with room for the fridge to breathe, even though it it only 28 long. The other compartment is now 23 x 34 so I will either build a drawer or stick two frontrunner boxes there. We will see how I like this setup.

Also I need to get a damn table saw

I just bought the HF press too and $600 worth of bushings. A little intimidated by the job. The bang in that video actually got my adrenaline going a little bit sitting here at my desk. Anybody have a wits end bushing driver kit they wanna loan me? Or any suggestions on what to use for a socket/driver?

In my video you can kinda see what I was using. Iron pipe fittings from Lowes. Not the perfect fit, but worked well enough to press old bushings out and new ones back in.

Just modify the press to suit your needs. Like this one we did

I have a lot of things from HF too. Their 20 ton press is sketch-city but it works. Here's a video pressing out my OEM bushings. Turn up the volume so you can hear the bang. Guess I got lucky because apparently their plates have been known to explode.

If I was going to pick a soundtrack song for you Freebird would’ve made the top 3!

My G55 was nicknamed Stormtrooper by my son.

And yes, I'm aware of the poser grill guard and tail light guards. And don't mention the wheels.

Why should I not get one?

Very little back seat leg room. I'm 6'2" and no way could I sit in the back seat. Other than that, no reason not to.

It's repugnant...

I disagree. I think it is one of the best looking vehicles.

But does it have lockers.

3X.

I love my 80s. Through and through. But the G wagen is as capable of a vehicle. Plus they make a diesel version that is available in the US. Fun fact: The side body molding isn't for protection from door dings. It is the water intrusion mark. The truck is water proof to that level.

I'd buy a G320 CDI tomorrow but I'd miss you guys too much. :hillbilly:
