I don't think MB USA ever officially imported the diesel one. Never heard or seen an official one here. Gray market, yes.
I would love an old school diesel, no DPF, no SCR.

Dang. I didn’t know that. I guess I’ll stick with my 80s then...

Brushed. Much easier to do in my garage that way.
happy with it or still wish u sprayed does it look perfect as far as masking etc.

Speaking of bang. I followed this guy’s video for the oil pump seal replacement. The bang is around the 6:15 mark. Kudos on the slow motion.

this video is the shiite. I post it up all the time. but due to temps in 3-10 degrees Im stalling this one fix and I do NOT stall I install. lol

My G55 was nicknamed Stormtrooper by my son.

And yes, I'm aware of the poser grill guard and tail light guards. And don't mention the wheels.

Truth be told...I know we're all thinking it so I'm just going to say what every 80 owner is thinking:
You can't wear a cowboy hat in a German vehicle without looking like an arsehole; and, sometimes a man (or woman) wants to wear a ******* cowboy hat.

True. So true. Definitely more of a flat biller ride...

Yep! But my thoughts go to that high roofed, squared off body getting completely destroyed most places I can slip through in my 80 Series even on a 4+” lift and 37’s. My rig has some scars but that MB would be toast. Some of us wheel tight mountain trails that are paved with large rocks and then the snow flys complicating matters further. This is why I just can’t get involved with threads where guys are insisting that open diff’s, 295’s and a good line works “most” of the time. Ok then, “we’ll leave the light on for you”.

Installed a new radio today with Apple CarPlay & Android auto. Huge improvement over the stock radio in my ‘97!

It's narrower.

I feel like I remember someone saying (maybe on here) that the G wagons share the same axles or some drivetrain portion as our 80s...

Sorry but this is just a marketing gimmick. The water fording depth approved by MB is 60cm. Which is the top edge of the doorsill.

It isn't even as good as the "Not a Beast" 200 series. ;)

It is the water intrusion mark. The truck is water proof to that level.

You do realize that in two years your truck will run slower with Apple? There's a class action lawsuit about how they engineered the OS to run slower. So when you can't make it to 60 mph in a reasonable time, you'll know why.

Haha. My Audi S6 can go the same places.
On a non-sarcastic note, Land Rover had a depth sounder option. The sales guy said that if you ever want to try it, make sure you only lease it.

Man, I touched a nerve with you on the 200 Series!

Swapped in a set of ifs lockouts with the longfield hub gears. Work good. One more piece to the puzzle.
