Great pics! I love the Keweenaw! I live about a mile from Lake Superior so it's great to see pics that others have taken along it's amaking shores. We spent a week camping in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, on Lake Superior. This is our favorite camping spot in the UP. One of the few places I've been where you can have woods full of pine trees that go right up to the sand leading to Lake Superior. Also, fires are legal on beach, because it's not an official campground...yet.
Toured the Keweenaw Peninsula all the way out to High Rock Bay, which is the furthest tip of the UP. Found some waterfalls throughout the U.P. to hike as well...oh, and ate smores every night by the fire on the beach.

I got the polk db+ 5.25 inch speakers and the 4 inch in the back . they really sound good .You won't believe the sound that comes out of them .@stevenmichael which speakers did you get for the front?
Will you post the kit you got and where you got it from ?Fixed my AC ... again ... hopefully for the last time! Replaced all the orings, expansion valve, and drier first go around. After a couple weeks, noticed the back of the compressor was oily, and no more AC. So I ordered up a seal kit, pulled it out, replaced all the seals in the compressor, reinstalled and recharged. Blowing cold again, fingers crossed...
So much!! Getting ready for wheeling on Drummond Island, Michigan in a couple weeks. Installed Prinsu roof rack, rock sliders [small mishap when that install put too much pressure on rusty heater hose headed to back seats = big leak! Cut off and clamped the hose - will fix later...or when someone actually sits in the back seats], removed hitch to provide more clearance.
Tons of fun and SO many thanks to my brother, Pat (aka dogfishlake) for helping me with my awesome '97 80 that he only agreed to sell to me because it was Christmas AND he made me promise to keep it forever or sell it back to him. No problem - I love this car!
....working on posting a couple pics....stand by....
Great job . The best screen I have found to use for camping to keep even the ( no - see-ums ) out that will eat you up is black curtain sheer. Its about 100 times small opening than the regular bug screen . The black stops the sun light from getting in and it keeps the inside a lot cooler than the white or lighter colors . Another good thing about the sheer is if you are away from the truck and you left the windows down and it starts raining the water will run off with little coming through but still lets in lots of air . I have tried all kind of material and the black sheer you get at walmart is the best by far . Its super strong and its hard to rip .Created a modified version of my bug screen I made a while back. The first one slides on over the window like a sock. The new one just uses magnets and the metal on the door for a nice, clean, tight fit. Guess I'll be making another one to replace the first one!

being a wrench turner and not an analyst what does the iol report tell you?View attachment 1515528 View attachment 1515527 View attachment 1515526 View attachment 1515525 View attachment 1515524 This and that.... thought I would include he oil analysis here. In 2015 the PO was losing coolant and the HG was the culprit at 265k. Well, the dealership was a hack shop and didn't change the oil when the job was done. I changed the oil when I bought it and ran it 4500 miles. The report came back terrible . Coolant in the oil and 5 times normal wear. 1100 miles late I sent another sample and this is the report. I will send another sample in 1,000 miles. I'm losing no coolant and she runs like a top. I need to know for sure because I'm taking this beast on a 3500 mile road trip next month.
