Ran out to @Dudleyfj40 to drop of his mechanic stethoscope. Checked out his daughter's 80. Three 80s, 1.5 40s.

First time I've been able to park in his driveway (he's a little OCD about oil spots...)!

Packed it full with 8 young ladies.

Not sure what you did to deserve this but I'd start rethinking your life choices man! This seems like torture!

(Que the "that's not safe! The 80 series was only intended to have a maximum of 7 passengers!" From the safety police on here...)

LOL, makes 9 when you add the driver. :P

Drove back from Colorado, hit 400k, and started cleaning and unpacking.

I forgot to mention, we had the holy trinity of "worst 80 colors" in attendance! Brent's kids have a maroon and a black. I have a green. Jesus is was an oxymoron of a day! Cool Land Cruisers everywhere but they were UGLY!

Created a modified version of my bug screen I made a while back. The first one slides on over the window like a sock. The new one just uses magnets and the metal on the door for a nice, clean, tight fit. Guess I'll be making another one to replace the first one! I used no-see-um screen.

The bottom isn't perfectly level but I was going for function over fashion. :)

Im going to have to make a copy of your tent defelctor and Im working on the gas can flip down table as we speak what did you use for yours?

What did I use for the flip down table or the wind fairing?

yes and yes

yes and yes

The fairing is a tube skeleton with tabs and it has a trimmed up sheet of aluminum bolted to it.

For the cutting board, I found a pair of hinges at Ace that I rebent, trimmed down, and redrilled. I had a custom sized cutting board with rounded edges and a juice trough made from The Cutting Board Company. Currently I'm just using a piece of paracord to limit the downward movement of the table and have a bolt that pokes through the board and wing nut to hold it snug against the swing out.

Replaced the OME suspension with the Tough Dog Suspension courtesy of @reevesci aka Trail Tailor and his lovely wife Andrea.

My first go at tackling anything suspension, and with the article that @IanB mentioned from Slee's website I was able to knock this out by myself. Saturday I tackled the front and Sunday I installed the steering stabilizer and the rear!

Next purchase is going to be new tires, current thought is BIGGER. Maybe 35, 36, or who knows even 37s. Regearing will follow shortly thereafter. (but drawers/sleeping platform need to happen sooner since I sleep in the rig every Thursday for work)

Thanks again J and Andrea for choosing my name for the Trail Tailor Loyalty Raffle. Every Cruiser project I tackle gives me a little more confidence to take on the next project. Although I am, without a doubt, still a 1.5 banana wrencher

Rear springs vs. OME rear springs

New rear shocks and springs

Adjustable steering stabilizer and Tough Dog bracket. Bracket is BEEFY, and adjustable steering stabilizer makes a huge difference. I have to play with the settings to figure out what I like best for road driving but currently it feels like NASCAR handling.

New stance! Gotta get drawers, sliders, to add more weight to the back, then re-gear.

And new hat for little dude.

I also had the o-ring kit installed in the a/c unit , changed the license plate bulb and added a extra cigarette - dual usb connection for charging .
