Started vacation last Sunday with a nice Eastern Sierra storm, snowy and cold....then headed to the Ancient Bristlecone pine forest in the White mountain range. Temps were in the teen's..lol and crazy windy made for some tough camping but views were spectacular!

Then hit up lake after lake and creeks on the way back on HWY 395

Certainly, its Minute Muffler in Dublin....guy named Scott runs it and is super cool. Check with him a few weeks before you want to get it done, everyone likes him and his schedule fills up fast. I've had him do lots of work on several different cars for me and will vouch for his workmanship.

Thank you! Will look him up.

It's not the weekend yet, but I got to have a little fun with the 80 today. My son and I saw a truck between railroad tracks and a walnut orchard when we were taking my mom to get my dad's truck from the shop. It almost looked like there was dust coming from spinning tires, so we went back to check afterward. Sure enough, this couple in a 2WD Frontier had tried to go through the ditch.

It took less than ten minutes to get him out, then we were on our way.
Here's the ditch, and the hole from his spinning tire.

It looked like his front skidplate (if it has one) was resting on the old tire.

This just happened.....today in the eastern Sierras, last day of vacation.....weird mud bog on nice dirt road swallowed up passenger side, diff's, track bars hung up and both cats, muffler and pipe were just touching ground!

Ill have to say this is the first time i was happy to see a jeep driving up....got out with no damage to exhaust!

Had rocks in between rotor and backing plate on front so had to take off tire and pry out 3 rocks with screw driver...goodness..lol

Changed diff fluids Mobil 1 75w90. Changed transfer case with same. Rotated tires. Washed, waxed, vacuumed. Made a neat rear cover for the amps out of another cars rear cargo cover I got at a yard sale for a $1. Carpeted on one side and a tray on the other. Close in color too. Speaker is a Kicker L7 QB8. Use it for traveling when packed. Kicker Q Series Dual 12" box is in normally!

I picked up some very needed items from CruiserParts.net plus took the bushings of my Rancho shocks & replaced the sway bar bushings.

I can feel a definite difference in the anti sway department... she drive a wee bit better in the turns now. Every little bit contributes to the total end result. This reassures me to keep replacing the old tired 20 year old bushings

Slinkied the pig! With the hired help of OTRAMM of course. Thank you sir for another project very well executed.
You want pictures right...well I've got plenty.

Today is my two year anniversary since I joined Mud!! Wanted to express my sincerest gratitude for the advice and knowledge you have passed along to me to get my 80 where it is today!

I'm pretty sure I've still got mud and gravel hidden in places from the last time I got stuck in mud more than a year ago. ih8mud.

One of the few times when having a high lift jack is handy. Jack it up, put some large rocks under your tires and drive away.

I don't see any trees nearby so a winch wouldn't be much help unless you had a pull-pal winch anchor. That would be more handy and less work than a high lift jack.

I would have sold the mother in law for a high lift jack! ;)

Funny, last couple weeks I have been looking for a winch and winch bumper for the 80....wife said get one before next outing ;) ;)...I like where this is going...
