You must love vanilla lattes. ;)

Finished up my power steering pump replacement last night. Also swapped out the 2 hoses from the reservoir. Man, 23 year old rubber is really brittle and useless. Overall the job is quick and fairly easy if you have some mechanical skills. "Special" tools I found to be helpful, were a cheater bar (the handle to my jack) to tap on the back of the pump to coax it out and my DIY fluid filler set up. The rubber lines I replaced were hard as plastic. Also took the time to grind off the rust on the battery tie down bar and rust reform the J hooks. Painted any bare metal with protective enamel.

Since I bought the cruiser, the engine side of the battery tray was torn from oil and grease and the hook being tightened into it. I thought about what I had on hand to reinforce the tray and cut up some holed metal bar and bolted it in. Works a treat.

View attachment 1433709 Read up on my transmission issue here and found a few easy fixes! Made my day! I love this forum!

Also found some new front seats on CL for dirt cheap to replace the broken and torn up power leather seats in my 93. PO paid $1,400 for this set and he let it go for $300 with real Katzkin leather.
thats is a score, m really thinking recaro for the fronts

I got rid of the BFG Krawlers and replaced them with 37' Nitto Mud Grapplers. Krawlers are just way too soft for the heavy FJ80.

Grapplers sit about 1/2 taller and an inch wider.

Im looking to trade my beat 37 Mud terrains and was eyeing the grapplers, whats your total lift. suspension and body. and do you have massive wheel spacers?

Installed some more sound deadener, replaced PCV grommet and had to dig out the bottom brittle piece with needle nose pliers, paid for my KISS drawers from @cruzerDave, and added some additional storage. I'll be spraying the interior with bedliner on Monday. Fridge will be mounted behind driver's seat for easy access on road trips.

Well it's not the best bedliner application job ever done but I think it will work. Sprayed some etching primer on the sound deadener to help adhesion. Spilled a little bit, splattered more than I anticipated, but it's not a show truck so screw it!

Alcohol rub down before it sets gets most of the splatter off. I added rubber granules for more traction, hence the bumpy look. Forgot to plug the few bolt holes I still need to use. Time to break out my new tap and die set!

I can't get enough of those white spoke wheels, looks so good

Sounds like a trooper tank would hard to find, why not just weld up the hole?

I thought about that, but they didnt just punch holes, they completely aerated the tanks. Its too bad, 3-5 holes in each and all wallered out really big. Disgusting waste.

My next step is the Isuzu boneyard. Its a step up from the pick 'n pull. Since they disassemble and store, its more likely to have a good one still intact.
