300 mile post rebuild shake down drive into the mountains. Didn't know I had a passing gear until now. Just thought it was always weak. Engine temperature under load up a steep grade hovered at 195 where before it would get close to 214. Normal operating temp was at 188. More than happy with the results.

Skeet with a Browning A5,, installed a flag pole,, :steer: in the mud,, had my buddy flash the MUD welcome :flipoff2:, and then some great food washed down with .

Ha yeah mine is the same way. Just noticed it this weekend.

I picked up some 17" tundra wheels with 315 BFG A/T's for a really good deal and decided to try out this paint color, but not sure I'm sold on it yet. I just rattle canned it, so easy to change. Thoughts?

I like it. Always thought those wheels looked cool on an 80

Eating some crow tonight. I took my daughter to do some parallel parking practice using my wife's 4runner limited (what my daughter is taking her test in). I put my pickup up front and my daughter's 80 in back along the driveway so she could park between. She did great, so afterwards for some fun I led her through the woods, me driving the 4runner. I kept looking back, making sure she cleared the trees properly on the tight spots. Of course I didn't notice the rotted stump I hit and mashed my wifes running board! My daughter had quite a laugh. Hopefully I'm not sleeping on the couch.

I think the proper term for that is "Pulling a Joey" amirite @NLXTACY ?!?!

Since the FJ80 is in the shop getting the Death Wobble fixed I been going through my shopping list for parts it needs.

Today I drove to Fontana for a climate control unit. 3 hours total drive

Picked up some new 12 ton jack stands.

Got some specialty tools to fix it.

Steamer to remove the nasty 24 year old tint.

Ordered some new Goodyear All Terrain Adventure Kevlar 285/75r16.

Also placed an order for custom seat brackets.

And lastly got the bill to fix the Death Wobble.

Went to install my Icon front sway bar drop blocks only to find that they shorted me two of the extended bolts needed for the install. Sunofabitch!

Did a full knuckle service. Had everything blasted and painted. New Brakes, rotors, new inner/outer wheel bearings and races, trunnion bearings, new caliper bolts, dust caps, seals, etc.

Now your going to have to strip and paint the rest of the axle, you can't leave it like that.... But it does look good

I got a little carried away. I just tell myself I was practicing for when I find a locked axle.
