Ah, so you painted the cover? I suppose you can then buy any wheel cover and just paint it? didn't think of that. :P

Mine is in terrible shape and my hands stick to it, feels gross.

Mounted my ram mount with what you had. The spot in the dash that it's mounted usually has that plastic piece there but mine has been broken for forever. I cut the end off of an angle grinder key and mounted it in the stock screw holes that are in the dash. Then mounted the ram mount to it. It's perfect placement and plenty sturdy. Doesn't look half bad either.

That's quick work.... in the mud even. I love the "getRdone" attitude. You are destined for greatness. Have you started a build thread yet?

Thanks man. I actually gleaned your thread and selected these springs based on your findings.

Georg @Valley Hybrids helped me get my springs before I head to Hidden Falls tomorrow morning.

Rest of standard OME kit incoming..... also VSV, gas cap, rear u-joints, oil pump cover kit and front main seal.

New springs tuck my 315s nicely.

Sealing the windshield didn't work and the leaks ended up being from the sunroof. Didn't use it anyways
Was probably just clogged sun roof drain tubes. What type of sealant did you use?

Where are the drains and how to you unclog them?

There is a drain tube from each of the 4 corners of the sun roof catch pan between the roof and headliner.

The front two are routed down the "A" pillars and terminate in the rocker panel. There is a tiny drain hole formed into the pinch weld there in the forward area of the rockers.

Both aft drain tubes are routed down below the cargo area windows above the wheel well and the tubes themselves poke out through the body just rear of the wheel wells.

Any suggestions on how to unclog them? Thinking I should look into doing these before they become an issue.

Another method for cleaning the drain tubes is running weed whacker string down the tubes dislodging anything that's clogged them up. The rocker box drain holes for the front can be cleaned out using a zip tie. Just two examples for getting them clean.

I'm doing this this weekend. I've cleaned my sun roof drains 10x and it still leaks. I'm taking it out this spring and welding in a patch when I paint/monstaliner. Sun roofs are freaking stupid!

If you have an air compressor blow the high pressure air through all the holes. Mine was leaking and this solved the problem for good.

Careful doing this way as you can blow the drain tube off. There are multiple guys that have had this happen...

It's time for new rotors and pads on the 93. What is the consensus on what to buy? I almost always stick with OEM but am open to alternatives. But not interested in breaking the bank. I've never replaced rotors before.

I'll definitely go 100 series pads as that seems to be the way to go.

I'm doing the knuckles and wheel bearings at the same time. Anyone want to come over and help!?!

Mine is definitely not the drains.. they've been cleaned multiple times. Something odd is happening where the water is running across a small plastic guard on the front of each rail and leaking into/through a screw there. I think there is a small strip of foam rubber weather strip on each that is mashed flat.. ultimately the sunroof seal is probably not doing as well as it should and the water is overwhelming the way it was designed to flow into the tray.. but in my case at least it isn't the actual drains. They've been tested with cups and cups of water and no problems.

Vinyl tape is the only thing letting the rig dry out (slowly) at the moment.

I've had enough trouble with aftermarket rotors, - even from trusted brands like brembo-, on my other cars to only run OEM on something with the braking demands of an 80.. especially with big tires/armor/etc. Even brembo is doing castings in mexico now. That said.. EBC rotors eventually held up on my Jetta (driven pretty hard), and I've heard good things about centric. But for my cruiser.. OEM toyota through one of the mud vendors or discount sites.

Really happy with the stock 80-series OEM pads up front too.. even with my 315s and bumpers/sliders/winch/dual batteries. The 100 pads, for me, seemed like too much of a compromise having to leave out the anti-squeal spacers. Yes, there is more pad material.. but the cost per mile of the stock pads is still really low, and they fit with zero issues. Personally.

I did all OEM pads (100 up front) and rotors on mine and I am very impressed with the braking power. I did put a new Mc, SS lines, and all new fluid too.

@LS1FJ40 I'm running hawk hps pads on all 4, with a weaver rotor from advanced up front. I didn't bother swapping the rear rotors since they were fine.

Anyways, I've had plenty of close calls driving into/out of Denver daily and it's idiotic drivers. The brakes always feel solid and get me stopped in a hurry. I'm also part timed so no abs in my 80.

Rear rotors? Let me a take a look at the back axle of my 1992 and see what I have for pads and rotors back there. Yep, that's what I thought. None of that there.

@LS1FJ40 OEM rotors and Hawk LTS pads all around for me, better bite when cold than stock, and I don't find them to be super dusty, or any noisier than stock.
