Hell, ya! You are most welcome, Eric.

Also, jacked up the 93 and checked for play in the front. 12-6 play is there. Not much, maybe 1/8". Same on both wheels. I needed to take the wheels off and check the rotors too because I heard a grinding noise when stopping yesterday. Could that be the wheel bearings? Or most likely brake/rotor related. Only notice it when stopping. As only the initial stopping from about 15mph to 5mph. If I let off the brakes then reapply, no grinding.
I was hearing a grinding from the front end when stopping too. I found the wheel bearings loose on one side. Tightened them up and no more grind. I did find marks on the spindle and inside the bearing that appeared to be the source of the grinding as the bearing spun on the spindle.

Yeah, I have the stuff for the knuckle rebuild. Including new wheel bearings. I need to order the TG lock nut. And the bearing tool from @orangefj45

And I need it to stop being cold and freezing rain.

Using Terrain Tamer front axle components, some OEM parts thrown in for good measure and clean parts. Important.

THE @beno man is such a stud. If you don't have his number programmed into your phone then you are just silly. His parts come with a ton of knowledge and experience as a bonus.

Went snow wheeling with some friends. It got really deep and there was a lot of winching to be done.
image.jpeg

Eventually I couldn't go forward as the leader any more and the little 1st gen 4Runner behind me could not move me so I did two pulls with my m8000 and got the 80 turned 180 degrees.
image.jpeg

Made it back to the playground area of the trail we were on and found this shenanigans...
image.jpeg

Saved by the stinger!!! If the tree wasn't there he would have rolled for sure. Simple pull with winch line off the passenger slider got it righted. And then to top it off when we got back to the icy parking lot to air up and put two rigs on their trailers one of the trailers couldn't move at all so I used the 80 to pull him to solid pavement. This was an uphill pull fully locked in low range to move a dodge ram 2500/4Runner on a trailer combo osver a snow bank back to pavement and the 80 had no problem with it. The dodge/4Runner owner is now a firm believer in heavy cruisers after being a mini truck/4Runner owner his whole life

Tried different cam tensioner in the hopes to eliminate start up rattle. No change but rattle definitely oil pressure related, next stop an Enigine pre lube set up.

From the left 1st 1996 OEM with 125K, next new 1996 tensioner, lastly used pre 1993 ratchet cam tenisioner (No longer available replace with new style)

I left mine at home in the fridge!

:crybaby:

Oh well, breakfast/lunch at work I guess...

Took the LC up to Grand Marais, MN along Lake Superior. This was the first real road trip I have taken it on since I bought it in August and then decided to rebuild the top end of the motor along with the front axle, all four brakes and bunch of other little stuff. The truck ran perfectly and I averaged 13 MPG, so I think my cleaned injectors and all the other work seems to have made it more efficient.

We stayed in an awesome little cabin with just a wood stove for heat and lanterns and candles for light. Great trip and the weather was perfect. 20 degrees and sunny.
