Monday waiting on gaskets finished up Friday with full knuckle rebuild, new TRE's and 5.29 Nitros.

Yesterdays front moving in while I was walking the dog.

-8 this morning with lots of sun.

-21 degrees??? I can't even imagine....I was just complaing about our little cold snap here dipping into the mid seventies, and that I couldn't wait for winter to be over!

I'm sure it's a typo. Either that or he's using a different measuring unit.
Think about it, why would people have freezers in their kitchen then. It can't be true.

Finally got my pumpkin android head unit back from China after it broke so I installed it. Or at least got it working until it gets warm enough to finish the install. With new speakers, backup camera, etc. For now just having a working head unit through the factory speakers is good enough. Pretty cool all the things it can do. Installed Digi HUD app to check my speed since I know it's off. I also downloaded the FSM to it as well as added a custom start up screen. I'm really liking it so far and the fm reception with a 4ft firestik is as good or better than any of my other rides. And yes, I did tear off the screen protector after I took the pics lol.

Went to swap turbos, found ps wheel bearing had decided to leave this life and take the stub axle, cv and fwh with it. Possibly a brake rotor too. Expensive little find. Stripped everything down, ordered parts, swapped turbo. Hopefully parts arrive by the end of the week, because it will make a good boxing day job putting it all back together. Also ordered braided brake lines which can go on at the same time

The 93 had getaway duties for this neglected pup! She's going to a good home!:steer:

Close enough.

Ran into a few small hang-ups with the fairlead so that will be getting swapped out from a hawse to a roller. Ill be hitting the rough edges with a death wheel later when I get a new grinder from insurance, then paint and some welding down the road. The important thing is it bolts up and is no longer sitting in my walkway. 8274 on an ARB Classic

Every 80 needs a copilot like her.

Yep! I already have three dogs but she was in a very bad situation. She's safe now!

Crankshaft seal is coming in in piece and I put a dent in some condenser fins. :(

I'll play with it more later.

Went out for another drive this afternoon, really digging the new gears and how much of a tank this thing is in the snow.

...

Do 80s normally have 2 horns? I need to replace my horn so probably will order this same one as well. Pretty straight forward install?

Mine came with two disc type horns. Denso.

Everybody I heard, said they are simply not enough.
The install was 1/32
Plug and play pretty much. I did not cut any wires. Negative wire attached to the bracket as per instructions, positive plugged in. One bolt for the bracket on the radiator frame (OEM location) one nut to hold the negative and the horn to the bracket.

Low and high tone. Wifey is all smiles. Priceless Christmas gift for her. Ebay bought.
