Crankshaft seal is coming in in piece and I put a dent in some condenser fins. :(

I'll play with it more later.

I am open to suggestions :D

Most of the lip where the spring resides has pulled off. I fished the spring out. I've tried to be cautious as I don't want to pry on any metal lips. I'll search for pictures.

Should I see a specialist, or did you post in the wrong section?

Don't be such a wuss! :hillbilly:
:flipoff2:

I'm not complaining. I make fun of the people that complain about the weather. It did get down to -41 windchill last night.

A hook pick works well. Or angled needle nose pliers. The hook pick is the easiest.

Been slingin POR-15 since 11 am, will likely still be paintin at 11pm. Got the links, front anti-roll, radius arms and the rear axles painted. 5 or 6 coats on the radius arms fewer on the links as i plan to replace them w aftermarket later. Multiple top coats on links etc gona start top coat on housing in another 30-45 minutes...

Getting ready for our Xmas trip to Mt Shasta and doing a practice run of putting the chains on... Not even trying to adjust them, just wanted to put them on to make sure I got the instructions right LOL!

You might want to check the instructions again.
We wear those chains in a different way, not on the tires.

I tried that gently until it started getting dark. Is it just recessed behind the seal (red arrow) or is it a channel that the seal resides in?

Thanks

I was driving yesterday when I signaled to turn left. I looked at my dash and had both the left and right blinker lights going at the same time, like my hazard button was depressed. I checked and no, I didn't have my hazards ON. Thought it was a fluke. Then I signaled left again, and same thing. Weird. I put my foot on the brake and my right blinker stayed on solid, not blinking... I must be loosing my mind.

Got home and googled it, and luckily some fine members posted a fix. The trailer wiring module installed behind the rear PS panel had got wet and shorted out. I disconnected it fully and sure enough everything was fixed. Then I researched why it would be wet up there and found out it is the "quarter belts" below the slider windows were to blame.

Thanks MUD!

Well it turns out that the rotor that suffered the failed bearing is beyond recovery, pads chewed too much out of it, so I pulled the trigger on DBA T3 rotors, heavy duty 105 series pads and a stainless piston rebuild kit for the spare set of big brake calipers I have had sitting around waiting for this opportunity, time to make it stop on a dime :) Also revisited the turbo drain line, the last effort was a just in time job to get me going, and while I have had no issues with it, I've always wanted to improve, so a trip to the local hydraulic shop and $100 later (seems that much every trip there!) I have a custom 3/4" to 7/8" elbow with 2 x 45's in it instead of a 90 and new hose and clamps. Might as well make the most of the opportunity to fix as much as possible I reckon :worms:
