What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend? (89 Viewers)

My son helped me work on my 93 yesterday. Put the front shocks and springs in. So this morning we got up early and went fishing. Caught NOTHING! It was bizarre. Took the 92 and stretched her legs out a bit while the 93 sat at home waiting for us to return. Well, we got a little side tracked. A buddy had a private zip line course (4 lines totaling about a mile). It's on his property by where we were fishing so we gave up the fishing and went zip lining instead. Good times. Then came home put the rear springs and shocks on the 93. Gave her a shakedown run and she rides like a new truck. Very impressed with the Tough Dog springs and foam cell shocks that I got from Trail Tailor aka @reevesci. She is firm but cushiony on road. Then took her on a gravel/dirt road that was pretty rough. Incredibly impressed at 35-40 mph on gravel/dirt.

Here's a crappy pic of it.

And my son zip lining. He's got video of me zip lining. Good times. Next weekend we are going to have a paint ball war on the zip lines. Should be fun and painful.

Welcome to the Stinkbug club.

I actually like a little bit of stink bug. It isn't loaded down yet either. I'll take a pic on level ground tomorrow to see what it looks like.

Mounted the 4x4Labs bike rack back on the 80 and went for a father-son MTB ride with my 11 year old. Just picked up a nice used M4 for him last week, and had a great ride in Nisene Marks State Park. A new distance record for him, making it 11.2 miles and 1000' of climbing.

My parents came out to Colorado for the weekend. Hung out in Fort Collins Friday then went up I70 Saturday. Made a pit stop at the Breckenridge brewery then continued over Hoosier pass down to Alma where we hung a right and went up to the top of mosquito pass. Was an awesome day finished by seeing all the aspens on 285 on our way back to Denver

Congrat's Kyle! Know what's missing from this pic?

The exhaust system lashed to the roof rack!

Pretty productive weekend....I basically have a new Land Cruiser with a simple replacement in my 80. For the last 14 months I have suffered from this rediculously annoying loud ticking coming from the AC fan that would increase with fan speed.
$25 for a used one from a wrecked 80, hubby swapped it out in 10 mins, and now I have quiet cool AC heavenly bliss. Here's the little miserable culprit, my husbands diagnosis was a bad bearing in the motor.

Also had the fusible link changed out. Old one was fine, but looking a little worn. Very inexpensive piece of mind.

Field testing the days upgrades. Smiles and shaka's all around for the simple things in life that bring such happiness.

Also couldn't resist taking a self taken photo (wish there was a term for that) of Aloha Jen passing Aloha Stadium. But mostly it's a protest pic for all the flat bill hat hate speech a few pages back.

And rounded out the day with the 80 posing with some almost 75 year old WW2 bullet holes on some historic buildings in Pearl Harbor.

Hope everyone has a great week!!!

This past weekend was the American Adventurist Appalachian Rendezvous, it was an awesome time with an awesome group, great trail rides and amazing set of trucks!
