Well my 80 had fun this weekend without me :crybaby: But nice job on the rear drive shaft carnage @ThreeEyedBandit :lol:

But what I really want to hear and see pics of the weekend is from @pilotuku and his carnage @ CTW :flipoff2:

Finally finished installing my Prinsu roof rack after changing the mounting system to look a bit neater. Then used it to get the 951 in the trailer, which in turn opened the garage back up for the 80.

What did you do to the mounts?

Logged the first 600 miles of ~3000 for this trip towing it behind my motorhome. Made it a little over halfway to Colorado, stopped out in Henderson, NE for some rest and will be back on the road come morning. Thanks to the multiple threads here I managed to get it all together. Towing 4 down tcase in neutral, trans in park. installed blue ox tabs on my DC FAB bumper, using a blue ox aventa bar, 10inch receiver rise on rv and led magnetic tow lights for now. LX450 steering will stay unlocked if you turn ignition on then off and leave key inserted in ignition tumbler.

Working on finishing up the front 4x4 labs bumper, picked a Come Up seal 9.5 si for motivation to finish.

..

Went up to Wheeler Lake, CO this weekend. Went in Friday night, camped at the lake over night. Met up with a friend and then did mosquito pass. Was a cold but awesome weekend.

That's cool you can flat tow it. Never knew that about the steering lock. Is that the same on the Cruiser?

Ejected a spark plug out the top of the cylinder head :(.

Had to park it immediately after it happened as I was headed out of the country for 3 wks. Guess I'll look into it when I get back.

First, we had a blast! Besides the "minor" mishap I've had on the trail, we had a blast! It was part of the adventure.

I'd like to extend my warm appreciation to:

@RadarFJ40 of LCNW for all the parts and being a good friend!
@Boots and guns aka Mike - I hope I had the mud name right
@CreeperSleeper aka Chad
@ThreeEyedBandit aka Matt
@retrofive for his winch
Cascade Cruisers rocks!

Thanks for all the help getting me down from that trail.

Oregonians are very friendly, they even fill the tank for us! Lol.
But the trail with rain pouring was not so friendly.

I need to gather all pictures after I get settled. Just barely getting back to the Bay Area!

Here's a teaser.... Errrr... Not really!

Mike is in awe!

Here's how I got down to the bottom!

That's just a flesh wound! My gas tank has more medieval style insignia than that!

This weekend I learned one important thing.
The trail is just like a casino. It always wins. You may, from time to time, get a taste of what's it like to win, but next time it gets you again.
