Not the weekend, but I lost a caliper bolt while driving. WTF? Never seen that before. I rebuilt the front axles a few k ago, and know for a fact that I tightened everything to spec.

Limped back home and pulled both front tires. Missing the top d-side caliper bolt, bottom was very loose. I pulled both calipers, cleaned up the bolts, applied loctite and retightened to 94 ft/lbs. Slightly more than called for in the FSM.

Back on the road tomorrow.

On Saturday ran the Hewitt Canyon Trail/Montana Mountain loop. Missed out going with the CSC crew, managed to go later in the day. Shot everything with my S7 Edge and was playing around with it's video editor. Never done it before but thought it turned out ok. Forgot to change the settings so its not at its highest HD setting. There are a lot of short vid sections that give a good idea of the trail. Still photos at the end. I know one was out of order but it's pretty accurate as the trail goes. Threw some U2 in there, wasn't quite sure how to do it but good enough.

Great video! Much appreciated.

Some friend you are. Next you are gonna say you stood up a friend for lunch. Like didn't show. Not even a text, at all. :*(

Is it hat time of the month again? ......I told you I was sorry! here is a $1000 go buy a purse!

Love the look of the stealies Where did you get your TJM T-17 bumper?

It came from Slee. The previous owner picked it up. I wasn't so sure about it at first but the more I look at it the more it agrees with the clean lines of the fenderless look. I also found out that TJM does in fact make a winch plate for this bumper so no need to mount it feet forward on the bumper face. Now I just have to wait for it to get here from Australia.

Along with the bumper I wasn't sure about the 70 series steelies either but they've definitely grown on me and I think it embodies the Poverty Pack look with its simplicity.

Installed a Scan Guage 2 in order to keep an eye on my water temp and for a more advanced trips meter among other things.

Factory tape deck and paper speakers out.

Seems to happen a lot, even to people that definitely torque them to spec.

Consensus is to clean the threads in the knuckle and use new bolts every time. They aren't super expensive when you consider how rarely they actually need to be removed..

Also with the heat of the brake calipers there is no guarantee that the loc-tite will help much.

Very cool, but obviously the real witchcraft is how your rig is averaging +20mpg. lol

IH8it when that happens. Especially when in the middle of nowhere.

Is it just me or is there something beautiful missing in these pictures?

Something in your pictures used to just make them "pop"

Without that special something in your pictures life seems dull and boring.
Moderators. And whiners.

FWIW Rear bumper bolt is the same

I don't have the link handy but there is one that was built by AJIK last year. I've been asked to bring it back to life. I'll have more info coming soon. I'll post up as soon as I track down the link here on MUD.

I think you should bring it back @NLXTACY. Not everyone likes a full armour, and this is by far the best and cheapest option.

I think you'll get a lot of support Joey.

I had one of the last few units made before they discontinued... Used it for two years and it was great. I loved the minimalistic part of it. It's what I needed at the time...
But I needed rear protection when I decided to go Rubithon so I had to get Luke's bumper.
