Are you making fun of me? Shocks and sway bar, don't they have to be disconnected? I got a jack, but no hi lift to make the axle drop a lot.

I use a standard floor jack to jack up on the axle, so I can lift it pretty high, take off the wheels, then put jack stands (tall ones) under the frame and the axle will droop all the way without any other equipment. With the wheels on, full droop would be pretty hard to do.

Impromptu fuel can carrier build for upcoming weekend trip. 90 minutes of work last night and wait for paint to dry

Do you have to undo the shocks bolts before you drop the axle?

To get the springs out, yes just unbolt the shocks with a jack under the axle. Watch the brake lines you can overextend/pull on them, but there is room to do the work.

Very cool, but obviously the real witchcraft is how your rig is averaging +20mpg. lol

I was off of the accelerator at that moment as I was coming into a turn and slowing down. The computer always goes nuts with the mpg when coasting. The other day it read 77mpg as I was coasting to a stop from 55mph haha. I've been averaging between 14-15mpg around town with speeds up to 50mph.

I don't think two Changs are alike. NLXTACY is very picky, he only gets the best of everything. If it says on it "Made in USA", that's a bonus.

Sorry dude, the only good Changs are made in China.

Slee Step Sliders went on this morning. I had to remove the front mud guards in order to install them. I like that they don't stick out on the sides yet still provide ample platform to step on and protect the rocker.

hey Tex, are those 60 wheels? painted? if so what size tire are you running on them?

70 Series steelies, 16x7's. Running a 285/75/16 on them. Had 255/85's prior to these but so few options and hard to come by in that size and $40ea more as well so I went with the more common and 1" wider 285's, no regrets.

hmm 70 series, guess those aren't too easy to come by otherwise I'd do the exact same setup! Very nice truck!

I'm guessing a phone call to @beno and those wheels could be on the brown truck headed your direction.

Ya, but if you saw what my 80 looked like you wouldn't spend too much money on wheels either. I have a set of 60 wheels, which got me thinking they looked good, but now I'm just going to leave it alone for now, I'm sure @beno could make it happen though!
